Most downloaders are also the biggest spenders on DVDs and movie theaters. How about the kid that goes to see Transformers 2 three times in the theater, then downloads a copy after its out of theaters, then goes out and buys a blu-ray copy when it's released, then deletes his crappy cam copy off his computer? Should he have downloaded it? Not really, but is he the kind of guy you want to sue for thousands of dollars in "lost revenue?" Not if you have any brains. That's one example of hundreds. I once downloaded an audiobook because the set I checked out from the library had a damaged disc and it was going to take a long time to get a replacement. Lost revenue? Not at all, I wasn't about to buy a copy. It's a complicated issue and if the MPAA wants a solution, they need to do exactly the opposite of what the music industry did. In any event, Iger (regardless of what party he claims membership in) is beyond full of it when he says piracy is the cause of lost jobs.
