Staying at the new Bay Lake is amazing with incredible views on every level. Also had the nightly fun of the Water Pageant. My grandchildren loved loved loved that. They think that is what WDW is all about in their world and have watched it repeatedly over&over on YOUTUBE. They also loved Chef Remy and we had to eat at Chef de France twice just to see REMY. I don't think MM rated much. Just goes to show you never know. All the technology in the world can not pre-conceive fun no matter how much they want to package it all.

Go with someone who has saved their whole life to go. Try and see things through a 5 year old's eyes - 1 50 year old's eyes- and basically a lot of combinations. Things like poor maintenance- ignoring certain attractions from a repair standpoint - or updating..etc..deserve to be called out because they affect everyone. However things like the HM queue - which started in a thread to tell you how mgmt had ruined the entire park with a piece of crapola -- when it turns out almost nobdy had seen it yet.. and of those that did at least half liked it. Really a lot of W/E type threads where a few years ago you knew you'd get a "Bush sucks" comment by the 3rd post-- well now you may get a WDW blows by the 10th post. And yes I realize it's a blog- opinions are opinions and all belong-- but should be quantified at least a little. Perspective can ne an amazing thing-- a lot of little things that bothered me a few years ago-- well after a health scare...the next time I went to WDW I did not look for the bad things ( I didn't ignore the obvious either)- but I chose to enjoy the many wonderful things. enough for my opinion- and it is only that- an opinion..not gospel

And for the record, I go to WDW with a ton of different family members and friends. I get the other perspectives, and I appreciate them. But those that were there during the golden age mostly agree with me that there has been a steep decline, and when I show my little cousins old videos most of them say, "That's so much better then what's there now, why did they take it away?" Oh, and I've yet to see LMA with someone who ended up enjoying it. ;-)

In Paris, the show is always greatly received, with huge applause, and a few times, people giving a standing ovation. In WDW, people seemed bored (and yet the Indy show is far slower and past it's sell by date). It shows how different demographics take to things. I have seen maybe 3 dozen stunt shows around the globe and LMA/MA is one of my favs.

We really don't know how it's going to be applied. We don't know if we might actually like it. It's the equivalent of me speculating on how it would feel to kiss Roseanne Barr.

Other than that, I've never really enjoyed stunt shows. There's just way too much talking involved in them. Yea, there's some interesting tidbits here or there, but I can learn more and more interesting things on DVD extras. On top of that, I LOATHE the feaux movie-filming. It irks me to no end. Listen, I know you're not filming a movie here. Don't do that crap. This can also be said about Star Tours and Indy, but from what I understand they got rid of that in the Star Tours queue.

That's why I'm sure if it truly was not popular with the guest, it would be going away. It's kind of like the Indy show. We went to see it back in December for the first time in about 10 years. It was almost a full house, and from their reactions I would have to say that the guest loved it.

A lot of things have been suggested, but so far it is still a bit of a mystery --- much like a lot of major corps right now these 'next gen' plans are changing more rapidly than they can be put into place - Smarter planet / power grids etc... so I understand the concern that they could be poor replacements for what we have today-- but really I am fairly confident none of it written in stone yet

It has the potential to really be spectacular if applied correctly. I'm sure it will still have it's opponents, as well as detractors, no matter how good or bad it turns out to be. As far as kissing Roseanne goes, I fear we shall always be two ships that pass in the night.

Any comments LeeMac? There could possibly be a couple of pints, and a bottle of Glenlivet (I'm talking the really old stuff) involved here.
