It's just typical of the liberal media bias that some claim doesn't exist. When a Democrat gets in trouble, their party affliation is usually buried or ignored. It's a personal tragedy. If it's a Republican, then their party is usually prominently mentioned. It's indicative of how Republicans are all corrupt, or hypocrites.

Hardly - Blago already said that Obama's camp response was they'd extend their gratitude. This was a response to something - what ? No one asked me...somehow,someway this was communicated to Obama's camp...

I would have extreme reverance for Obama/Emmanuel if this indeed turns out to be what happened.

see dabob - this is what I was talking about - it is not just like me 'knowing' it happened..

that's all over the news here too --however for those of us here - with the exception of one former governor ( also in jail)- 100% of the major pols here are Dem's --

I have this mental image of Obama sending the governor a fruit basket and a hard-written note, and the governor snarling and tossing it in the trash. :)

This will be a big news story for quite a while - especially it is extends. If Obama or his camp( Emmanuel ? ) - had anything to do with getting the clean upball rolling - they should take credit for up front.

So apparently the "liberal media" bias isn't to Blagojevich's liking, either.

Doesn't suit his agenda to point that out.

Maybe it wasn't liberal enough, or biased enough.

Or merely acting in the public's best interest on the matter as a watchdog. That, too, is a possibility, especially when Blagojevich was clearly not.

I don't think you understood what I was saying there. I was only saying that for this guy (Gov) to tried to pull something like this couldn't have been a surprise to anyone who knew him.

What do I take away from all this? As a political junkie, this makes me really want someone to do something like "West Wing" where the principals are basically bad rather than basically good. Kind of Sopranos meets West Wing. Definitely HBO with LOTS of foul language. The Governor of Illinois has already written the pilot.
