I know because of course someone phone-video'd it) outdoors at this beautiful place on the Hudson just as the sun was setting, then went indoors for dinner, wine, etc. And oh yes, there was cake. We did the big thing the first time, so this was just a dozen of our closest friends. Although the ceremony was short, it really was moving. You know how they say if you really love someone, you'd marry them all over again? It was pretty cool that we got to have that moment again... shouldn't have had to, of course, but lemonade out of lemons and all that. The other people there were also long-time marrieds (all straight), and apparently a couple of them were inspired enough to talk about renewing their vows. So much for "harming" straight marriage. (Of course, maybe they just want another excuse for a party!) It really was wonderful all around. We're a very tight group that has known each other for decades and there was a lot of love flowing every which way. From all of them to us and back again, between each of the couples, and of course between us grooms. He's still ridiculously tall, but I'm keeping him anyway.

I'm not 'short' any more!" And then I met Jerry...
