And how hard are the Phillies kicking themselves for beating Atlanta at the end of the season and making the Cards' appearance in the post-season possible?

Phils/Cards was the only series I didn't call correctly. So I'm hard-pressed to pick against them now, but I do think the Brewers have the better team, and that's more likely to come out in a 7 game series than a 5-game. But the Cards are hot...

The Rangers and Tigers were BOTH hot at the end, so I'll go with the Rangers, who I think are better overall, just as hot, and have the advantage of having gotten there last year. Napoli was just a monster pick-up for them (great move, Angels...)

With the Top sides now gone...the playing fields have leveled..it is all up for grabs...on paper the Brewers hold the edge as do the Rangers...hope they are long series's....I like the Cardinals , but the Brewers are geared for winning it in 6....Rangers will have it in 7...of course , who really knows..any one of these four teams could win it all...if they get the right pitch and the call....

Yes, VB Hockey is back...going to be an interesting year...Hawks and Canucks..had better watch out for the Kings and Sharks...this year....

The Yanks weren't that good this year. They only won 2 more games than the Tigers to begin with, so I don't even really consider it an upset. They only won as many games as they did because Colon and Garcia gave them more quality innings than they ever could have hoped for. Yet by the end of the season they were spent, and so for the purposes of the playoffs it was like they weren't there to begin with. Yankees even got a break with the first game rain making it so they'd have to only face Verlander once (on short rest at that), rather than twice on normal rest, and they still couldn't win.

(Irving is in Dallas County hence why Dallas Cowboys is technically correct while they played there.)

I was at the Cotton Bowl last week sir. Would you like to tell me that isn't in Dallas?

Looks like my Rangers v Cards WS might actually happen!

Texas just needs to win tomorrow.

Would it be nice if somehow they could resign Fielder, absolutely, but everyone knows that's not going to happen. Honestly signing Braun long term through 2021(?) was the better option. And we have Gallardo locked up for the next few years Plus this owner and general manager are willing to go and get some players, it's not always going to be the big fish, that's just the reality. But if Tampa can do it, then the Brewers certainly can. And unlike the Trop, Miller Park is going to be sold out just about every weekend. And once school lets weekdays are going to be at 80-90% capacity.

Don't underestimate the Cards. They already beat two teams that should have beaten them on paper. In 2006 they were 82-80 and won it all because they were the hottest team, not necessarily the best.

Of course, the Rangers are hot, too. But don't count the Cards out.

    I'm not, just being hopeful.

    Cruz's boomstick helps too.
