Having met both TPooh and her hubby and seen first hand how homely they both are, poor little Jaden didn't inherit much in the looks department. Jaden is doing good today. I was able to pump and bring him some milk yesterday and today, I am happy about that. Plus they took him off the IV fluids and they took out the feeding tube today. I have a few pictures....but now I want to get some tonight without the tube to introduce him to everyone properly! Tonight or tomorrow morning I will have an update on when he can come home. Send happy thoughts that it is sooner rather than having to extend his stay. His blood work is showing a slight infection now which is kind of what they suspected, so they did another test today to try to narrow it down. Depending on how it comes back, they will know how long he needs to be on the antibiotics.

Make sure you try to get as much rest as you can now before he arrives home too so that you are refreshed. Are you able to hold him at the hospital or is he in isolation? I know that when my youngest was in NICU, it was tough (he was only there for 2 days) but at least I could touch him and hold him after doing the whole scrubbing thing. Just your voice has to be reassuring to him too.
