Can't get much better than a 2 days od DCI together with a day in EPCOT without children!!! We wanted to get to Wisconsin but WDW always won out!

I love the Blue Devils show from that year (I've seen the video!). I agree, drum corps and Disney is a lot of fun. When the championships were in Orlando, it was great to go to Epcot and see all the corps performing all around the park all day! Very "high energy" entertainment for sure. Now, it's Indiana (ugh) forever for some reason. I guess because they have a dome. But I really have ZERO interest in going to Indiana, so I guess I'll miss the championships for another 10 years unless I'm teaching some group.

I got one of the drum sticks that a tenor player threw into the crowd after the awards ceremony, and my brother got his other one. It was pretty neat. As for the move to Indiana, I'm actually very excited about it, since my parents live there, and I think I could probably make the trip over every now and then. The new stadium is supposed to be really nice (it's not quite done yet, but it should be in time for the Colts to play next season), so that's a plus. I believe that DCI is headquartered in Indiana, as it BOA, but I doubt that really matters (NCAA too, but that matters even less0.

It will be interesting to see what the capacity of it is like for these events compared to other stadiums, since I think it's one of the few places they've done finals that has had seats all the way around. Hopefully they can still get a ton of people in there with decent seats though... http://tinyurl.com/297fcm
