I know the locations of these Motel 6s in Kissimmee, and one on International Drive which is walking Disntance(for me at least) to Universal. When I was in the Navy, I was lucky enought to be stationed in Mayport near Jacksonville, and Orlando was my place to go "recharge my batteries", and I just got used to staying at these cheap places. There is this one Motel 6 where I can still get a room for less than $30 a night. The T.V.s in the rooms all have that special Disney info channel ("It's a Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah...tip for today!)and I have no problem with it. But I'm low maintenance that way. I understand that it's different for some people, especially if you've got kids. One suggestion for people on the fence about renewing. Are you one of these people who also spends a lot of money in the parks on food/merchandise? If so, you could renew your pass, and resolve to stop spending in the parks. There's cheap alternative eateries outside the parks, and since you're an AP, you're not going to be concerned about maximizing every single minute in the parks, so the lost time shouldn't be a problem. I'm willing to bet that by just making a few adjustments here and there, some people here could end up spending $150 LESS on food/merch over the course of the year, which could make the net amount of money you spend each year exactly the same, or even less. This would also be a way of hitting Disney where it counts, while still enjoying the parks.

The reason I liked to park hop, was because we usually start the day at DL then early afternoon go back to the hotel and swim, relax. After dinner go to DCA and spend the evening there. I didn't ever walk back and forth between the parks much. But for $120 difference, I'll take the one park per day. Still hoping they offer online discounts like they always have before. *biting nails*

Plus you receive an early entry admission to a designated Disneyland® Resort Theme Park." Unless I'm mistaken, the zoo options are no longer available.

I am a little ticked off because i do not use my AP every single week, i always eat at the parks and always buy some sort of merchanside. This year i was going to buy another 2 Pap's thinking it might be $100 more.$300 is nuts and it wont end up saving me money. This year i will buy a 5 day hopper and only visit once. On a customer like me they will lose a lot of money, but obviously my husband and i wont be taking any business away from Disney. The only way i will be buying another AP is if i will be visiting both Disney parks again. My husband and i like just getting away from the weather and just getting out of here for a few days and Disney was a nice break.

There is also the chance I'll have a comp ticket for something, but that's yet to be seen... The way I look at it, they've just priced the premium to deter some folks from getting them, and either buying a lesser pass or park hopper tickets each trip instead. We buy in the parks, too, so the discounts were part of the "do I get one?" equation. Lots to think about and calculate out for sure before potentially buying another one. And I SO hear you on the weekends...

Now that DCA has been overhauled, and is opening the same time as DL (at least this summer), we'll probably do less parkhopping.

Now there really isnt a great option for us besides just getting a park hopper once a year. I really wish they had an amount of days you were able to buy a year or at least buy a larger amount of PH tickets and add for the tickets to not expire. I guess now i will have to limit my days to 5 a year instead of 7-10 and save a lot of money. I want to go to Hawaii and Europe anyways, so i guess this is a good start.

So DL website has old info which could seriously screw up someone's plans if they purchase the tickets on the DL website thinking they can go to the zoo.

But I doubt it's felt yet .. because APs seem to help drive attendance numbers, on a regular (weekly, monthly, yearly) basis. Just a side note here ....... I remember a 1977 visit .. with my ticket book labelled roughly about $7.50. ($28.48 in today's dollars) Yeah ... there were a limited amount of tickets across the board .... But there was always just so much time in the park, anyway. I went through all the E,D, and C tickets .. with a few B, & As left ... and I still managed to fill up the entire day, and was happy. If that A-E ticket book were available today (at $29) ... vs. the $87 All Day Pass, with unlimited uses to ALL attractions .. I'm actually going to get on less with crowds much higher than they were in 1977. Anyhow ... Every year prices go up. We get furious ... Corporate Disney just laughs all the way to the bank ... while the Disney parks continue to evolve to Parks For The Rich!
