Those two retailers have a completely different market segmentation. WDW and DL have the same caliber of entertainment(more or less); it's just that WDW is so much more vast. I think I would say it's like going to Las Vegas when you are a Reno girl. or It's like going to Universal Orlando when you are a USH girl.

WDW has a lot to offer. It is a very different experience to Disneyland. Be sure to allow a good deal of time for Epcot and Animal Kingdom. They are very different to what we have in California. When we went last summer we did everything that was different at the Magic Kingdom first which helped the experience be unique and less of a comparison issue. I would highly recommend ataying at the WDW resort and enjoying that part of the experience. We stayed at the Beach Club and we LOVED our stay. Ride a boat to MGM or Epcot, or shuttle bus to other parks. Beautiful scenery and great food. Except for Mexican. There is no good Mexican food at WDW if you are from a border state. So get your fill of carne asada before going! OH! Don't forget that WDW requires reservations for almost everything! Very annoying to me but when in Rome... So unless you want to get stuck eating hotdogs, which seem to be for sale everywhere at WDW, you MUST make reservations. There are very few walk in tables unless you eat at odd hours. And forget about predicting the weather...especially this year. Thunderstorms close down attractions in some parks, but they reopen as soon as the storm passes. Otherwise, what's a little water? It feels good in the summer anyway!

I'm hoping to go again this June and I want to go to DL for Christmas.

I missed Disneyland. We actually flew straight from WDW to DLR directly and I guess my heart belongs to DLR because I thought it was so much better! >>I felt similar when I went last year to WDW.
