When I first came to the LP, I wanted to remain anonymous. To everyone. Unfortunately, I was outed to some nasty, insecure, insignificant folks at Disney. It would sound that the two of us care. People who care hold tight to what they think is good and important. We don't deny the truth, but sometimes the truth can be less than happy. I prefer to dwell on the parts that remain good.

I have no idea who this executive was, but if it were say a VP in Imagineering I would not give his statement any credence whatsoever. I've taken a half dozen or so college accounting courses, including a couple in tax accounting. I can not imagine from my knowledge base how leaving a building unused would result in any type of tax savings. I admit that I've never worked as a tax accountant, and that my education at this point is 30 years old. I realize that tax law does change over time. But that claim just seemed so far outside the lines of anything I've ever learned that I very seriously doubt it is accurate.

Some are strong rumors, others are facts, so don't jump down my throat if you see something you don't like. Imagination has been given an undisclosed, but reportedly small budget for it's refurbishment. Attraction closes around 9/20, Image works in January." Who the heck knows if this is true or not. But if the ride closes by Oct 1, then I'd say this rumor probably has some legs. *ah-choo*

And as for Journey, it most certainly is a shadow of the original with the utterly awful Eric Idle replacing Dreamfinder and with Figment showing up with nothing near the explanation/introduction found in the original version of the ride (it is almost hysterical beyond belief to see EI cavorting on a Disney attraction like Journey - those of us who have seen EI's cabaret show or some of his Monty Python bits find it hysterical that a comic who's theme song references a particularly graphic "adult" seating arrangement should be featured on such a "PG" attraction.

Or Robin Williams voicing the Timekeeper? Both performers are typically noted for being a bit blue on stage. Long standing Disney tradition.
