Doggie bag just guarantees another hi-calorie meal the next day. Eating out and losing weight isn't impossible, but it's tricky.

But, I get strange looks from the wait staff, and the people I'm with. Like "is that all you're going to eat? Aren't you hungry?" I just don't eat the huge American sized portions...it's way too much food for me. I hate going to Diners for that reason because it's just so wasteful.

Would you let your kid eat 16 or 17 sugar cubes instead of drinking a bottle of soda? Would you let them eat a pile of sugar cubes along side their burger and fries? I would think that most parents would at least pause if they thought of it that way.
