Riding all the FL darkrides back to back first thing in the morning. Finding our brick. My wife always cries. My whole family just loves the park, heck the whole resort. We only make it every other year on average, but our vacations on the non-Disney years aren't the same. No magic. In DL we can forget the world and our daily cares and just have fun.

Does anyone remember that song "Magic Journeys"? I have an old tape of mine from when I was a kid that has all these old Disneyland songs on it; Magic Journeys was one of them and every time I hear it I'm reminded of that exhausted yet content feeling I'd get as our day was coming to an end.

All of it just marvelous and just underlines not only "I'm at DL!" but exactly where you are within DL.

To a place that cannot be. Noone knows what turns the key. You have found a thousand eyes. Whirling images arise. In a moment they are clear. In a flash, they disappear! Magic journeys. Mystic flights. On the wings of unexpected sounds and sights. Magic journeys, are they real? Do they mirror what we think or sense or feel? Neither dreaming nor pretending. No beginning and no ending. You are splashing in the stream of an unremembered dream. You are searching through the eye of a seeker in the sky. Magic journeys! Magic journeys! You are riding on the winds where the universe begins Through the atoms that repose in the heartbeat of a rose. Magic journeys. Mystic flights. On the wings of unexpected sounds and sights. How we travel, why we go, is a secret we will never never know. Neither dreaming nor pretending. No beginning and no ending...." Yeah, I remember that song. It's been years but I still remember it.

Another memory is the sound of the train station as you enter the park, with the conductor yelling, "All aboard!" How about every time a jazz band shows up in NOS? I love the foyer in the Haunted Mansion. I love waiting in line to get inside. I love the fact that you can still hear the sounds of people enjoying their food at the Blue Bayou while you're enjoying the enchantment of the bayou at the beginning of POTC. Like mentioned before, I am comforted at the sound of the mine trains of BTMR. The Country Bear Jamboree made me want to get up and DANCE! "Ain't nothin' like the great outdoors to ease your soul...." I am comforted by the jungles of the Jungle Cruise. I love the memories of Captain EO, I love how we used to hear "Another Part of Me" as you leave the theater. I love the Mickey Mouse shaped, chocolate covvered ice cream bars. (I'm trying to remember as much as I can.) I will never forget meeting Aladdin when I was very young. I had bought a Princess hat (cone shaped hat w/ streamers out the tip) earlier; I had already bought an autograph book on a previous trip, and I had him autograph it. He wrote, "To Virginia~ a REAL princess! Love, Aladdin." I was floored. My greatest wish (amazingly, in the over 100 times I've been to Disneyland, it has never happened) is to one day meet Peter Pan.
