Someone needs to bring a Wienerschnitzel here to the northern burbs...that and a Jack in the Box. I sure miss them after moving from CA...that and NY-style pizza.

They used to have a Bonus Jack ( think Big Mac ) I really liked.

Of course we just got our 1st SONIC - so maybe there's hope yet

I've heard nothing but raves about IN-N-OUT Burger but I get the feeling that I'm not going to be that impressed. I tried a Nathans Hot Dog a few years ago and thought that's it.

Problem is...all we seem to have is fast food. Or it's all Chinese, Mexican, or Pizza. That's all that ever seems to go up around here. Not that it's not good or anything, but it's just the same old fare all the time. We long for something different. A steak house would be nice or Olive Garden or Red Lobster or something!

Don't long for a Red Lobster. All you have to do is go to your local market and buy some seafood (your choice, but be sure to include small bay shrimp and label it "prawns"), leave it out on your porch for three days, then pour a half gallon of chlorine all over it, heat it up in your microwave and serve it with ten parts pasta and/or rice to one part chlorinated rotten seafood.

I guess they think the pasta and/or rice would counter the chemical taste, but they are wrong.

One of the best joints for seafood here in Sacramento, The Rusty Duck, just closed it's doors. Boy that makes me sad.

I can't remember the movie right now ( need help) but I remember a little boy with a British accent saying the phrase "that's puke that is" -- it seems to fit

No fan of Red Lobster with their gade z seafood either
