    It's not just that Iger has allowed it to happen, but he's actively encouraged and mandated it. Yes, franchise films are great for a synergistic company like TWDC, but they have to be good enough to spawn the spin-offs in the first place; it seems like Iger's tentpoles have all been focused-grouped to death before they ever hit the screen, limiting their potential to gain a devoted enough audience

    You can be everything so some people, and something to everybody, but you can't be everything to everybody. It just doesn't work. Here's hoping that Iger manages to get removed from power well before 2016 (though that seems pretty unlikely)
