In order to do that, they really couldn't modify it too much, since there were ceilings that needed support from certain walls. While they could have left it in place, and have every body enter through the same door, this would lead to a very strange layout for the first floor that would be somewhat difficult to navigate without a ton of sinage. Making the building rotate just makes it more interesting (which I think we all agree that Innoventions needs more interesting things), and also gives it a bit of a repeatability with the different areas that you enter.

Even though the final outcome was one big sleeper. I have to say though ... either imagineering has some creative forces who are thinking of ingenious methods to preserve the format for the next attraction ... Or this unique rotating facility is only ever going to be best served as a "theatre" format as in once was for CoP, and America Sings. I'd like to think there is something ingenious cooking up in their minds to utilize the rotating format for something cool. But if they come up with nothing ... then it's time to bulldoze this 1966 building altogether ... and use the space for anything they want. The carousel theater is 83,000 square feet of space. If they leveled it .. squared off the corners with a new structure .. on all four ends ........ The that 83 thousand square feet would increase .. giving WDI more room to do something that would DEFINATELY be of an "E" caliber attraction. Plus ... if this rumor of extending Tomorrowland all the way as far back as the edge of Harbor Blvd. then perhaps we are looking at bulldozers whiping out everything just immediately south of the DLRR Tomorrowland station .. all the way to the east edge of Space Mountain. oc_dean canst waits for the precious DCA Preveiw Center!!! It will be a site like Ralphy starring in at the RedRider bee-bee gun in the store window!!

Innoventions in Florida is in a regular old building. It works ok. You don't need a spinning building to showcase windows 95 applications.

Then tomorrowland would have all that room for a new E-ticket and an even more horribly clogged TL corridor between Star Tours and Buzz.

I had no idea innoventions was in such bad shape because I have not been inside in years. Hopfully an implosion will be in the near future.
