If 2/3 has to back out we'll be down to the clones and Schmitty again, just like the State Fair. We always have fun but poor Schmitty must feel like he's surrounded by Munchkins. We are not exactly tall people... 2/3, We should be in the park from opening to around 7:00-8:00pm. Normally we would stay later but I'll be having a long drive by the time I drop Schmitty off and return home. Ruthie and I were talking last night and, if we can, we're going to try for one more trip to Great America before the end of October. If you can't make it on the Sep 1, maybe the last half of Oct. would fit your schedule better. I'm not sure of you have a WOW card or not. If not, we can get you a discount on your ticket with ours. All four of us have WOW cards thanks to a certain utility company ; )

I get a ton of email and if I don't recognize the name I'll assume it's somebody from the PTA trying to get me to do something and I won't open it. We all have WOW cards. I only live 20 minutes away.

I know Schmitty was really looking forward to seeing you again and I have always wanted to meet the author of some of my favorite posts. I thought you might have WOW cards being so close but one never knows. Tinkeroon and I grew up in Santa Clara and seldom even thought about going to Great America. Now that we're farther away we have a stronger desire to go. Doesn't make much sense, does it.

Nomatter what you may hear, neither Tinkeroon nor myself danced on any tables.
Originally Posted By ShivaThDestroyer Ram is right, I think we all had a wonderful time. I got up at 5:00am to run up to Sacramento to pick up Schmitty Good Vibes, missed my turn-off and arrived about 10 minutes late, which turned out to be okay because, although he was mostly ready, he still hadn't put his eyes in yet. Poor Schmitty gets into my Firebird and we discover that, even with the seat back as far as it will go, his knees are still touching his chin. I thought about removing the T-top to give him some extra room but selfishly decided that I preferred the air on instead. I also thought about taking a picture and posting it but realized I probably wasn't quite ready to be stuffed into my tailpipe. We arrive about 15 minutes late at RAM1984's house and they aren't quite ready either. Schmitty quickly becomes yet another victim to Sk8ter, the cutest dachshund in the world. Sk8ter is a long haired silver dapple dachshund that could have given cute lessons to Shirley Temple. He also likes to play fetch with his favorite squeaky toys and could wear out the arm of a pro baseball pitcher before he would ever tire. We then decide that it might just be a good idea for all of us to take RAM's SUV to Santa Clara instead of 2 cars. Good call, Schmitty gets some head and leg room and I don't have to drive. We hop by my house thinking Tinkeroon will be ready and waiting for us at the door. All of us, except Schmitty, are aware that she is what you might call a slow starter in the mornings. This is no exception and we end up losing a little more time. We arrive at Great America at about 10:10 and although the 4 clones are passed quickly through the inspection station, Schmitty is given more closer scrutiny and forced to remove certain clothing items. I think the security guard may have even tried to slip him her home phone # but Schmitty wasn't talking. After this we make a bee-line to Top Gun. Just before we get on the ride we call Pirate Princess and yell, "Hi Jaime" into the cell phone. We know that is her favorite ride here and even though she couldn't be there with us in body, she was their with us in spirit. We'll have to work on a WOW card for her next year... After that we rode Rip Roaring Rapids and the HMB Endeavor (used to be called the Revolution) and Tinkeroon discovered that she had lost her Tinkerbell hat back at Rip Roaring Rapids. We backtrack and are pleasantly surprised to find that someone has picked it up and placed it in a cubby. Rather than walk back to the other side of the park, we then hop on the Delta Flyer, which we never call anything other than "the Skyway". All of this playing has made us hungry and we have a nice lunch at Maggie Brown's. While we are there MrRAM1984 is upset to learn the Great America does not let you get one free refill on your soft drink and that if he wants another it will be at full price. He also calls home as he is worried about the dogs, cats, chickens and rabbits. (he didn't ask about the ducks or turtle). While MrRAM1984 is making his call, RAM1984 and Tinkeroon are examining the table in the restaurant and are pleased to find it structurally sound. Although there was no table dancing, they both agreed that, had the tables at the State Fair been as solid as this one, they definitely would have gone for it. We finish lunch and ride Whitewater Falls, Barney Oldfield Speedway, Drop Zone, Survivor The Ride, The Grizzly and Psycho Mouse. While we are in the queue for Psycho Mouse we get a call from 2/3 . She is in the park and will meet us in about 10 minutes. (It turns out to be a few more but whose counting) Meeting 2/3 and her family was even better than I hoped and she also managed to talk MR. /3 (sorry, I forgot his LP screen name.) into coming to meet the LP ax murderers too! The "no longer /3's" are absolutely adorable and we all wanted to adopt them as nieces and nephew. They have much of their Mom's personality and are so much fun to be around. We hopped on the "Skyway" one last time and then did our best to kill each other in Rue Le Dodge bumper cars. The "no longer /3's" are quite skillful and gave the rest of us quite a run for our money. I did get in one particularly good smack on MrRAM1984's car that even jarred my teeth. About that time the "no longer /3's" decided they wanted to ride the Centrifuge, which 2/3 calls the "Vominator" and RAM1984 couldn't resist either. They rode several times and, by some miracle, not a one of them left behind any steamy little piles on the tarmac. As a matter of fact this just whetted their appetite for bigger fun, so it was off to the Survivor Ride one more time. After this. the "no longer /3's" wanted to go to the water park and we enjoyed watching them run around. Mysteriously. Mr. /3 and Schmitty disappeared in search of "liquid refreshment". They returned a while later looking much pleased with themselves. I'm guessing that the search was successful. After that, a few of the braver souls rode Delirium. We hit Drop Zone again and then Tinkeroon and RAM1984 took the twins on Invertigo. Sadly all good things must come to an end and it was time to go. We said our good-byes to the /3 family and after one last shopping blitz, where we bought absolutely nothing, left the park, had a quick bite at Sizzler's and headed home. It may not have been DL but I like to think Tinkerbell tossed a little pixie dust in our direction. Schmitty, The RAM1984's and ThDestroyers will all be together, back at DL, in about 5 weeks. Should be fun ; )
