I agree with this part, and would add that the food isn't really very good, which is why we probably won't buy much of it. But we will end up going a few times just because it's so much fun. And we really enjoy the "special" presentations at the Odyssey Restaurant, the free ones during the day.

Theres nothing like drinking a glass of ice wine from Canada while walking through world showcase eating a lamb chop from New Zealand. It is also extremly eduacational for the large numbers of people who attend the seminars. ONe tip is to try and avoid the weekends they get very busy. THe food and wine festival brings a lot of people to Disney which is why it was recently extended for 2 more weeks. Have a great time and enjoy.

The Food and Wine Festival can get pricey and the cost has gone up the last couple of years. When the thing started you could pick up food for $1-$2. I dont see that much anymore.

I don't do the big seminars - doesn't interest me. But I do love the walk around the WS, munching and sipping while enjoying the magic atmosphere of the lands. I find that by about halfway around I'm pleasantly stuffed, pleasantly pickled, and totally happy I picked that time of year to visit!

What's wrong with the uninformed masses going a little beyond what they normally do even if it isn't a great leap beyond what they normally do? Learning is usually a slow process and being exposed to something different is how you start. Maybe they can't pronounce the name of the wine and they food is fu-fu but maybe doors are being opened that will lead them down new paths and further discovery. Maybe it won't but why be so dismissive?
