That's why I never get a flu shot: you wind up getting it anyway. In fact, I don't know why they even give those to elderly people or young children.

I actually liked the questions from 514 & 516, so I decided to answer them as well:

    1. What was your favorite thing to get from the ice cream man when you were a kid (or now, for that matter)?

I loved getting the WWF (now WWE) ice cream bars when I was in middle school. I was into wrestling at the time. The ice cream bars consisted of a cookie with vanilla ice cream on it and a thin chocolate layer on the other side of the ice cream. The cookie had a chocolate outline of a various wrestler, and it usually came with some sort of collector card.

I do love It's-It's and Nestle Toll House sandwiches though; They're pretty much the same thing: giant cookie sandwiches with ice cream in the middle. As for the It's-It's, it's actually two giant oatmeal cookies with vanilla ice cream, and then the whole thing is dipped into chocolate. Nestle is just regular giant choc.chip cookies.

    2. Do you have a basement on your house?

    No basement, and no attic.

    3. What did you get your mom for Mother's Day?

We took her out to dinner. Since her birthday was last Friday she didn't want anything.

    1. Did you get a flu shot last fall? If so did you stay well?

    Never had one.

    2. How many load of laundry do you do a week and how many in your family?

It depends; I usually have 3 loads of laundry due to color (whites, blacks and blues).

    3. How did you find the LP boards?

I was looking up Disney stuff a while ago and came across this site. I didn't join the actual boards until a few months ago.

    1. Besides the Simpson family, who are your favorite Simpsons characters?

    2. What was the scariest thing (ride scene, AA, etc.) you ever saw at one of the Disney theme parks?

    3. Do you think a new Muppet Show (based on the ORIGINAL) would be successful today?

    Apu Nahasapemapetelan and Smithers.

    2. What was the scariest thing (ride scene, AA, etc.) you ever saw at one of the Disney theme parks?

hmmm, the Alien in AE. Looked way too much like the ones int eh movies for my tastes. :)

    3. Do you think a new Muppet Show (based on the ORIGINAL) would be successful today?

Yeah, as long as it was done int he style of the old one, including the bits of humor for the adults, and Kermit hosting, Scooter, Sam the eagle, and everybody!

Plus, I liked your questions about what one likes on this, so I'm answering those, too! :p

    1. Hamburger: beef, lettuce, tomato, pickle, onion, mustard. Those in the know would recognize this as the ingredients for a Whataburger. I recently realized that I always have and always will base other hamburgers on my beloved Whataburger.

    2. Hot dogs get mustard, ketchup, and onion. The onion must be down one side only, and it HAS to be the ketchup side! lol

    3. Pizza, eh? Pepperoni, mushroom, black olive, green olive, and fresh tomatoes. mmmm Oh, and on a THIN crust.

    Ok, questions:

    1. What kind of computer are you answering these questions on? If it's not a Dell, then, ummm, please buy one! :p I need more profit sharing! lol

    2. Have you ever met an LPer in person for the first time somewhere other than at Disney? If so, who, when, and where?

    3. Can I have $1?

Yep, DlandDug right here in St. Thomas a few weeks back.

    3. Can I have $1?
    Sure!

I'd do a week each at AKL, Contemporary, and Beach Club. I'd probably do AKL first, then move to Beach, and then finish up at the Contemporary, I think.

    2. I am a cheesecake making expert (or so I have been told), what's your favorite kind?

Just plain old cheesecake with graham cracker crust and strawberries on top. :)

    3. Is there anything you have done or not done in your life that if given the chance you would go back and do differently? What and why?

A few things. One of the biggest is that I'd never move off campus while in college - that's what led to me getting heavily involved in drugs and pissing away a few years of my life. I'd keep on living in the dorms if I could do that over again. The other one I'll mention is this - when auditioning for the Disney College Program, I'd be smart and tell them I'd do ANTYHING, not that I was ONLY interested in Stage Management. ARGH!

    Ok, questions...

    1. Who's your favorite Disney character NOT INCLUDING the Fab 5?

    2. Doobie & Rebekah have won the lottery or otherwise become rich beyond their wildest dreams. They decide to hold a contest for LPers where the prize is a 2 month vacation to all the currently open Disney resorts worldwide. What order would you visit them in, which hotels would you stay at, how long would you spend at each resort, and what one other LPer would you take with you?

    3. Know of any hosting companies that would be able to just host my email server? I really dont' need the web server anymore, and looking to save $$, so I wanna see if I can find someone to just host the email. :)

Actually, flu shots do work. Not perfectly, but pretty well.

Each year the makers of the vaccine predict which three strains of influenza will likely be most prevalent in that year's flu season, then incorporate those into the serum.

If you're exposed to a flu that's not in the serum, the vaccine doesn't offer any protection. There are hundreds of strains of flus, but the CDC and manufacturers generally do a good job of predicting which will be the most common.

It is also possible to catch one of the "covered" flus even after getting the vaccine. Almost always, however, the length and severity of the infection are significantly less than if you hadn't've received the vaccine.

When people report "I got the shot but I still got the flu!" it is usually a case of them getting a non-influenza respiratory infection or gasteroenteritis. The American public generally doesn't differentiate well between colds, flu, and GI bugs. (Not surprising, since there are so many of each of them, and symptoms overlap.)

Lastly, the flu vaccine CANNOT give you the flu. It contains only killed virus, not live.

I strongly recommend getting the flu vaccine each season. It is *especially* important for young children and for the elderly, for whom getting the flu is potentially fatal.

DL first for about two weeks (Grand Californian)
DLP second for about a week (don't know any of the hotels there)
TDL third for two weeks (ditto from above)
WDW last for three weeks (Animal Kingdom Lodge)
    (am I missing any?)
Which LPer would I take? Well considering DH might get a little upset if I took Wolfie or TDG, I would definitly pick PixieGlitter.

You mean like a freebie account like Yahoo or Hotmail?

    I like some thrill rides.

    2. What magazines to you subscribe to?

Disney Magazine (free for being an AP holder)

    VIA (free through AAA)

Otherwise, I can't afford anything else at the moment. I'd love to subscribe to Real Simple magazine sometime.

    3. What should I name my new puppy when I get her? :p

    Princess!

Nope, I mean an account that ends in labuda.com :) hehe I've had that domain for eons now (well, since 98 or so), and my contract with my current host is about up and I want to just not bother with the web side of it anymore, but just use labuda.com as a mail server.

Well, I'm sure this will NOT be a shock, but Disney. If not them, then I'd like to jsut be a freelance Stage Manager and travel from city to city as I worked on different shows. :)

    2. Are you at work or at home right now?

WOrk, of course! Funny thing is, I noticed this today.... when LP was down for a couple hours, I was MUCH less productive than I am when the site is up and I'm spending time reading and posting! Who knew? LOL!

    3. I've been out of the workforce for a while now. Without needing a lot of experience, tell me your idea of earning some extra money on the side... providing it's legal and appropriate, of course.

Hmmm, you could always get a part-time job at a Hallmark store or something like that... or get involved with Community Theatre - not a lot of pay, but FUN, especially if you have any type of theatrical expierience!

    Questions:

    1. If you were wealthy and didn't have to work, would you be more likely to spend time volunteering, or would you more likley just donate money?

I would start at DL for a week at the Grand Californian. Then I would head to WDW for 3 weeks and spend the first week at the Beach Club and the next two at Animal Kingdom Lodge. Then it would be off to Paris for 2 weeks at the Disneyland Hotel. From there Tokyo for 2 weeks at the Hotel Miracosta. And I think I would take you Labuda! We seem to have a lot in common, we would probably get along well!

4 cats, Alexander Puddlington who is 14, Kyra Nyres who is 11, Benjamin Sisco who is 9, and Kosmo Kramer who is 3. 1 dog named Stitch who we just got last week, we think he is around 6 months

Home makeover... because my idea of a personal makeover is very affordable.

    Exercise

I am constantly changing my mind over little things but if it's a more serious matter I tend to stick to my opinion.
