I appreciate fruit that doesn't bruise as easily, potatoes with fewer eyes, corn that's moister, green beans that are purple, all that. It can have its drawbacks, though. For example, the flowers we see in everyday life are hardier, fuller, and more colorful than those that were available a few years ago. We went to a Halloween party at a local bar one year and there was a group of guys dressed up like KISS, right down to the platform boots!!
