If you could bannish one holiday, which one would it be? Do I have to? Ummmm.....how about....boy I just can't think of any to get rid of! 3. Do you have realistic dreams or bizarre, imaginative dreams? My dreams are usually pretty realistic, but I have had a bizarre one here and there.

It was very graphic... and it didn't look like she was going to make it. I have no idea why she was in my dream. 2. What is the happiest dream you can recall? My sister meeting up with me at DL and having the best time together! 3. If you could control your dreams, what would you dream about? I would dream of quality visits with my loved ones... where there would be no sickness or stresses.

Where? We went out Friday night to a place called Noche. It's a mexican place. 3. Have you started your Christmas shopping yet? Yes I have. I have picked up a few things for my son already and for few friends.

Originally Posted By goodgirl 1. Where is your favorite palce to eat out? Depends on who is dining with me and what the occasion might be. I have a favorite little restaurant that is hidden in NW Portland for a one-on-one with my girlfriends (good wine, brie, and other culinary appetizers that make a meal). For family it might be Olive Garden or Applebee's for casual and inexpensive dining. For very special friends or for something intimate we have a lovely restaurant called The Trianon. Excellent (albeit expensive) food, personal service and wonderful ambience. 2. Do you usually order the same thing at your favorite place or do you like to try different things? I like to try the house specials or the specialty of the house. Or, I try things that I normally wouldn't cook at home. 3. What is your favorite comfort food meal? On a cold rainy day, Campbell's tomato soup with a grilled cheese sandwich.

Originally Posted By FiveBearRugs 1. Are you putting a pumpkin on your front porch for Halloween? Real? Carved? Yes; Probably both. 2. Do you put stuff on your computer screen or monitor? Stickers? Post-it notes? Little toys or novelty items sitting on top? Nope. 3. Describe your typical weekday lunch. If I actually make one, it'll be a sandwich, crackers/chips/cookies, a drink, a banana. Or I'll get something healthy like fast food. 1. Do you play Halloween sounds/music on Halloween night? 2. Do you watch Halloween specials (either family, scary, etc.)? 3. With the creepy-yet-funny return of the Burger King, which food mascot/icon would you like to see return, or changed back to their old self?
Originally Posted By Lisann22 . Do you play Halloween sounds/music on Halloween night? Yes! 2. Do you watch Halloween specials (either family, scary, etc.)? Yes - Charlie Brown and some scary movies. 3. With the creepy-yet-funny return of the Burger King, which food mascot/icon would you like to see return, or changed back to their old self? Taco Bell dog....come back Chiquito! ========================================= 1. Who are your Top 3 comedians? 2. Best singer from each of the following eras? 50's - 60's - 70's - 80's - 90's - 3. Originally Posted By Kar2oonMan 1. Do you play Halloween sounds/music on Halloween night? I used to. But we live on a dead end street and no kids come to our house on Halloween. Although, whenever a couple of kids do venture to our house, they a richly rewarded. Mrs. 2oon buys enough candy for a small army, and the few kids that show up get a bagfull. 2. Do you watch Halloween specials (either family, scary, etc.)? Not so much, now that my kids are getting a little older. But we do rent lots of scary movies throughout the year, and always make a point of watching Abbott & Costello Meet Frankenstein right about this time of year. If the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown special is on, I'll watch that one. Possibly the most depressing children's animated special ever! I also try to catch the Simpson's Halloween specials, but I usually see the show in reruns these days. 3. With the creepy-yet-funny return of the Burger King, which food mascot/icon would you like to see return, or changed back to their old self? Wow. I just bought a book filled with advertising icons of the past 50 years, and there were some really great ones (and some really WIERD ones, too.) I love the new Burger King ads. I also loved what they've done with Jack in the Box. I also like those animated bears that love using toilet paper so much it makes them giddy. It's also cool to see Mr. Peanut doing a little hip hop dancing lately. But back to your question, I'd like to see the Ad Council's Woodsy Owl make a comeback. Also, Speedy Alka-Seltzer -- a true classic. When I was a very little kid, there was a TraveLodge near my grandparent's house, with the little sleepwalking bear logo on the sign. "There's our bear!" my grandpa would say everytime we passed by it. So for sentimental reasons, I'd like to see Sleepy Bear make a comeback, too. And the Quaker Oats guy. As far as I know, he's always been the silent type. What does he have to say? He's in just about everyone's cupboards, yet he doesn't have a jingle or a catch-phrase or anything. Just sits there, smiling serenly, confident, yet non-threatening. We trust him more than we trust Walter Cronkite (hey, he LOOKS a bit like Walter, doesn't he?), yet we have no idea where he stands on any issue. I don't know that he'd look right hip-hopping like Mr. Peanut (Peanut has always had that man-about-town, playboy aire), but maybe he could play the spoons or something homespun like that.

You could even do yer best Bela Legosi (there, did I get it right?? lol)

Miracle On 34th Street - the Original with Natalie Wood and Maureen O'Hara. It was a delight from start to finish, the Santa Claus, don't know his name, was superb. It just is a warm and fuzzy, feel good oldtime Christmas movie. I have to see it every year at least once. My second favorite is Meet Me In St. Louis with Judy Garland and Margaret O'Brien. It's a classic also. ----------------- 1. Did you do the Secret Pal exchange last year? If so, your thought on it. 2. Repeat question two from above. 3. Repeat question three from above.
Originally Posted By Ursula 1. Did you do the Secret Pal exchange last year? If so, your thought on it. Yes, and I loved it. I also did it the year before. It's a fantastic way to spread holiday cheer and to learn more about an LP'er you might not already know. It's also fun to "watch" others go to the extremes (in some cases), and the creativity of LP'ers is amazing. For instance, last year my SP (threeundertwo) sent me a bracelet and every few days I got a new Disney charm, one of which was Ursula! Fantastic, indeed. 2. Best singer from each of the following eras? 50's - Keely Smith 60's - Keely Smith 70's -Keely Smith 80's - Keely Smith 90's - Keely Smith Can you tell I'm in a Keely kick again? My husband got us tickets to see Keely on our wedding anniversary this month and I just cannot wait. 3. What is your favorite holiday movie and why? NIghtmare Before Christmas, even though it appears to be Halloween-based, the theme of poor Jack just trying to do something different for his people for what he considers for the better is nothing short of perfection. Another one I like is Christmas in Connecticut, a great movei that I always manage to catch just a part of...I've never seen it all the way through.
