If my little sister Kathy has recovered from her pneumonia, then next Thursday, after returning from DL, the two of us are going to spend a couple days baking cookies. We'll do anywhere from five to ten different kinds--old family favorites: shortbread, cut out cookies, teacakes, etc. We only do this every two or three years but if the stress level is high or our health isn't up to par then we'll skip it.

    2. Have you ever spent Christmas Day in a Disney park? If so, what was you day like and where did you stay?

I went to DL in early Dec. last year and will be there again this Saturday thru Wednesday. Never been there on Christmas Day itself. I don't think my brothers and sisters would appreciate me being gone since I host Christmas at my house. I am looking forward to New Years 2005/2006 with Lisann22 however.

    3. How many Christmas movies do you own?

Not very many. I have Christmas Vacation on video. This year I bought Love Actually (I absolutely love this movie and have watched it five times this year) and Elf. I saw Elf in the theaters last year and it made me laugh and feel good.

I'd like to have others, especially Rudolf, but I find it hard to part with my money on DVD's. Don't ask me why.

Quirky things and stuff from my childhood. My mom has been doing my sister and my stockings forever, now it includes by bro-in-law and nephew. She always finds small toys and stuff from our childhood or little games/books. Funny things.

    2. What do you do between Christmas and New Years?

More, like what do I not do. Traditional things are go to Monterey with a bunch of my family and collect olivella shells off the beaches for our jewelry. We make a day of it.

Do some shopping from after Christmas sales. Go to the movies. Clean house - lol.

Stay up late watching movies and playing scrabble.

My company shuts down for 2 weeks each Christmas so it's my time to relax.

    3. What kinds of holiday partys, brunches, lunches or other manner of celebrations are on your calendar this month?

Whew boy. This year is insane.
    12/3-12/6: Disneyland Trip
    12/8: Foundation Thank you dinner
12/11: Christmas party for families that my best friend from childhood puts on each year. Lots of activities and caroling for the whole family
12/18: My special Thank you dinner for friends and family
    12/24: Christmas at Cousins
    12/25: Immediate family Christmas
12/26: Go see my Dad's mom in AZ

For my job, I do the following for my employees, we do something each Friday of the month.
12/3 - best homemade ornament contest. 12/10 - cookies, cookies, cookies.
12/15 - dinner with my boss.
    12/17 - luncheon.
12/23 - last day of work hand out turkeys and hams, let them go early.

    I'm tired already!

We usually spend that evening with my wife's family -- they've always exchanged gifts on Christmas Eve, ad my family always did Christmas Day. We (and by 'we', I mean Mrs. 2oon) always cooks a nice meal.

    2. Whats you favoret thing to eat and drink on Christmas Eve/Day?
Every year, my aunt gives a container of chocolate covered raisins to me and my brother. Not sure how it started, but I love 'em and look forward to this tradition. She always finds some clever container. Then I start eating them right away, while my brother is able to make his last until Halloween, constantly taunting me with them.

    3. Wich do you enjoy more giving or receving presents?;)
Definitely giving. I actually enjoy the craziness of shopping during the holidays, the mayhem, the traffic, the overkill. (Mrs. 2oon does not, and would happily shop entirely online if she had her way). And I can't wait to see if the recipients enjoy what I get them.

Yes, my cousins. We usually go to final dinner. It's very beautiful, I love the premise of Kwanzaa.

I don't eat nuts, so there's absolutely no chance I'd enjoy fruitcake.

    2. Have you ever participated in a church play about the nativity?
No. I was suppossed to be "The Little Drummer Boy" in our school Cristmas program in 1st grade, but became ill on performance night. My stand-in: Nathan Lane. The rest is history.

    3. Have you ever or do you go caroling?
Our Cub Scout pack goes caroling at a couple of retirement homes each.

Carol of the Bells usually. It was my favorite to sing in school choir, so I find myself humming it a lot.

DH is in charge of the outside lights. He does a WONDERFUL job every year.
We don't have any "yard art" or anything, its all lights.

    3. What is the one best gift you ever received that you'd love to give to someone else for them to enjoy?

DH proposed to me on Christmas. I would like to have someone else feel the shear amount of joy that 1 question brought me.

Yes!!!! My cat gets her once a year treat of Fancy Feast liver. My doggies get a treat, they all get toys. I wrap them and they are so excited to tear the paper off and get to the goodies!!!

    2. Sledding or skiing? Discuss.

Well, used to be skiing, till I blew my knee out and had operations on both of them. Now, I sled. LOL!

All my parents asked is could it please be after 5am. Otherwise, it was free game to see what Santa brought.
