    I have two. First is all our family weekend and sometimes week long vacations up at Clear Lake waterskiing. We used to stay at a place called Ship n Shore in Lower Lake. I loved being outside, playing in the water all day and skiing. We did not have a lot of money growing up. Buying the boat was a family decision and we all had to pitch in and help with the cleaning of it, packing, maintenance, and cutting back in order to afford it. I loved getting up really early in the mornings and going down to the dock to help my dad wipe the boat down, pack it up, check the engine. We would talk and work together, just the two of us. I lived for the moments when I got to drive the boat and finally to learn how to pull skiers. I thought I was so cool because I could do this when I was 14. At night we would listen to KSFO radio for all the "Mystery Theatre" stories. I loved those. We also would do talent shows, sing songs and play board games to entertain ourselves as there was no TV in the cabins.

    My second is our every other year trips to Disneyland. At first we had to stay in the little Peter Pan motel down the street and eat all our meals back in the room as my mom and dad packed an ice chest and brought alittle stove burner to cook on. Just being in Disneyland was enough for all of us. As times changed, we soon had our first meal at Blue Bayou and eventually I worked and could buy my own souveniors. I just have so many memories of us as a family and bringing along my other cousins with us to share the magic. Both my parents loved Disneyland and were alwasy willing to ride everything, watch all the parades, etc. It was always a fun family adventure.

    2. If you could live in any other era what would it be?

    I think the 40's or 50's. Different values and priorities during those times and I like the music.

    3. Describe your typical work day.

    I'm usually here between 6 and 6:30 am. First thing is log on and get through all my morning reports on e-mail. Then, look over production schedule, attendance report. Usually have a 7:30 production meeting with my Supervisors.

    From 7:30 to about 9:30, it's tons and tons of phone calls to locations we service and customers.

    After 9:30 it slows down and I begin to do my reports/data collecting/planning and forecasting projects.

    After lunch, I work on my special projects. I'm currently the project manager for two big department assignments. So, that takes up a lot of my time.

    Otherwise, I'm mainly fighting fires, overseeing our Quality and Engineering departments. Lot's and lots of meetings and conference calls.

    I'm usually out of here by 4:30pm. However, my job is not a 9 to 5 position. I can work 10, 12, sometimes 14 hour days and I travel quite a bit and do field work.

    Next person, these are good...

    When my little brother was old enough, my parents started the Disneyland tradition. Each spring break vacation (we only had a week), my parents would load us up into the little Datsun 510 at 3 AM (!!!!) and we'd drive from SW Washington state to Placentia, CA (most often driving straight through!) where my aunt lived. They didn't have a lot of money, so we stayed at my aunt's little house and spent only ONE day at Disneyland. We'd also spend one day at Knott's Berry Farm and then a day or two driving around and doing a little shopping. We thought we were in heaven getting to the point where we could see the DL sign (mid- to late- 80s) and then the worst thing was seeing the sign at the booth stating which attractions would not be open. I remember HATING to leave Disneyland. I didn't care so much about leaving Knott's, but I was so upset to leave DL. Once when we were there, it was nearing "closing time" but then something happened (I swear they announced that DL would be open two hours later that night) and we got to stay even later. That feeling will never leave me. I felt so happy, so excited, so special that the good people at DL would leave the park open later so that *we* could get the most out of our vacation. Who knows if that is true? Maybe it was always the scheduled time...but I don't want to know. I want to feel special like that forever. One year, we even ran into another family that had two boys my brother and my age. At Disneyland. Over a thousand miles from home. From a small town of less than 2,000 people. it's a small world afterall. It really is.

    I never could sleep in the car and my parents would get so mad that I was ALWAYS awake. =)

    2. If you could live in any other era what would it be?

    The 50s.

    3. Describe your typical work day.

    Ummm, wake up around 6-6:30. Get ready. Arrive at work less than an hour later. Work until my break (usually 2 hours later) and then back to supervise my team until lunch time. It really is like babysitting 20 people or so. Then Back after lunch until about 4pm when I can go home. Watch tv and talk to everyone else until midnight or so.

    Good questions, go ahead next person!

    I grew up in a rather poor family, so we didn't take typical vacations. In fact, I never left northern Michigan until I was in high school. That said, for several summers, our family rented a small cottage on a lake about twenty miles from our farm. We always rented it for one week, which seemed like half the summer when I was a child. I can still clearly remember the excited, butterflies in the pit of the stomach feeling I would have when we were making that long drive (lol) to Lake Avalon. And the sense of excited anticipation when Mom was putting Coppertone suntan lotion on me for the first time before we raced out to play in the lake for hours until our lips turned blue and we were shivering so badly we could hardly chatter out the words, "Awwwww, but I'm not cold!" (To this day, the smell of Coppertone makes me incredibly happy). I would spend a long, blissful week playing in the lake, walking down to the little convenience/bait shop to buy candy, collecting snail shells, and just playing outdoors.

    2. If you could live in any other era what would it be?

    Definitely the 1940's. Love the music, love the clothes and hairstyles, love the general sense of patriotism and work ethic of that time period.

    3. Describe your typical work day.

    There isn't one, really. I'm primarily a stay at home mother of a 10 and 7 year old. But I do work twice a week for a total of 8 - 10 hours driving a visually impaired woman on her errands.

    1. You are going to be on LP Survivor. Same premise as the regular TV show, but all contestants are LPers. Which LPers would you really hate to have to compete against in the *opposing* tribe? Why?

    2. How do you feel about bugs? Hate them? Like them? Fear them? Kill them at every opportunity or carry them outside and set them free? What's your most memorable bug experience?

    3. What is the most disgusting thing you have ever stepped on/in?

    (I just have to answer this one myself. When I was a kid, I was walking down our basement steps when suddenly I felt (and heard) the most repulsive squashing sensation. When I turned on the lights to investigate, it turned out to be an enormous toad. AAAAACCCCCCCKKKKKKK!!)

    I'd hate to compete against any of them - I wanna win ya know! :D
    If I had to pick though, I'd hate to go against Kar2oonMan, iceknyght, or JimInPasadenaCA for the physical stuff - those dudes could kick my butt!
    I'd also hate to go up against any of the mommies - those ladies are FIERCE! :D

    2. How do you feel about bugs? Hate them? Like them? Fear them? Kill them at every opportunity or carry them outside and set them free? What's your most memorable bug experience?

    Bugs in general don't bother me as long as they're outside. I HATE bugs in the house, especially spiders and earwigs! EWWWWWW!
    I also LOVE praying mantises (manti?) they are about the coolest looking thing in the world!
    Also love lightning bugs but we don't have them here.
    My most memorable bug "episode" that I can think of is being on the front porch of my Aunt & Uncle's house and having a HUGE junebug fly into my hair and get stuck. I could hear it buzzing around (those things always sound like a C-130 coming in for a landing) and it was just the nastiest thing ever!

    3. What is the most disgusting thing you have ever stepped on/in?

    When we lived in Texas, I was playing in the sprinkler in the front yard and I stepped on a snake trying to eat a horny toad!!! (Talk about your indigestion!) I guess I saved the horny toad's life because when I stepped on the snake, it spit the toad out!

    ~~~~Heck Ya, I’d quit... Nope wouldn’t give notice. I’m actually really annoyed with my job at the moment. I love what I do but I feel like I am so unappreciated. The only one who really notices or gives me any ounce of praise for all the work I do is my husband. Now don’t get me wrong I don’t expect praise and such but when someone else gets ALL the credit for what I do and it’s tiresome.~~~~
    2. If you could pack up and move to anywhere in the world that you have never been before, where would you want to move to? What makes this area so appealing to you that you would move there without ever visiting there before?
    ~~~~Hmm, I’d have to say Scotland. I have always been interested in the heritage and history of Scotland. Someday I do plan on going there. I want to stand in the highlands high on a hill among the heather and just spin in a circle, my eyes closed, and the warm sun grinning down on me. ( I know it rains a lot there) Historically though it is one of the most fascinating places I can think of. The castles alone would be worth seeing.~~~~

    3. Do you recycle? If so, do you sort out all of your garbage or just certain things (like pop cans and newspapers only)?

    ~~~~Ok, I’m bad, nope I don’t recycle, I do however recycle my pop cans and only because I get my nickel back for each can. ~~~~
    2.Since song titles have become a much talked about topic here on LP, Dedicate a song to another LPer, please explain why that particular song made you think of that particular LPer.
    3.They say that reading is the gateway into your imagination. If you could open a book, jump in and live the adventure; which character would you want to be, what book and why.
    "first off I would say I wouldn't change anything, as everything that happens causing something else to change -- but if I follow the rules here and change 1 thing.....I would stop Robert Kennedy from being assasinated...as that changed many things in this country assuming he would have been elected President"
    " Shine on Your Crazy, Diamond" - Pink Floyd -- to Simba98 for his outrageous topics in WDW general..keeps people on their toes....even if some of the premises are off the wall"
    3.They say that reading is the gateway into your imagination. If you could open a book, jump in and live the adventure; which character would you want to be, what book and why.
    " Gandalf, in the Hobbit & The Lord of the Rings...........has been my favorite book since college oh so many years ( decades) ago.......to have the power to change the course of things by encouraging others....and to experience true adventure...now that would be cool....might as well go with fantasy...reality is so...well so real.
    Okay to move forward:
    1. You have been given a blank check to buy any one car in the world you want...the stipulation is you have to drive this car for the next 10 years....no buying the world's most expensive and selling it for the money etc......which car do you buy and why ?
    2. You win a contest and can have 4 front row tickets for either: the NCAA Basketball Final Four / The Superbowl / The World Series / The U2 Concert tour / or any play on Broadway....which do you take ?
    3. You win a special lottery that sets you financially for life, the one rule is that you have to return to college and complete a degree, any degree you want.... what school do you go to and what do you major in ?
    Itd have to be a VW Bug in off white and decorated like Herbie- but since they arnt good reliable cars and their crash ratings suck... Id have to say a Mazda convertible. I love how they drive :)
    Can I just have front row at Tarzan Rocks? Well I horribly dislike all but the last so I guess I'll say broadway...
    It would be a 2005 Honda Odessy (sp?). I need the room for my 3 growing kids and it has all the cool gadgets for my husband. Besides, it is a Honda and they last forever!!!
    This is a tough one for me between Broadway and the World Series. If the Yankees were in the series, no question, I would be there but otherwise give me Broadway.
    The degree that I would complete is child psycology as I am have a really hard time with my 9 year old and by taking classes to get a degree, I figure that I would come across something that would help.
    Quit my job, cash out my retirement, grab some of my close friends and do an all expenses paid trip to WDW, TDL, DLP and DL cruise.
    2. Now you have just inherited 1 million dollars with the same news, do you still do the same thing or will this change your plans?
    Same thing only ask them to bring their families along if they want. Re-write my will so that any remaining money goes to family, friends, and certain charities.
    I would like to be a cat. I'd like to find out which one of my cats is the one who barfs up in the living room every day while I'm at work.
    **I have a co-worker who because she has nothing of value to add to a discussion CONSTANTLY echo's what others say.
    Example:
    Lisa: Production demand was very high today.
    Annoying Person: Very high production today.
    Lisa: We're going to need to order more of the widgets.
    Annoying Person: Yes, order more widgets.
    Ugh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    She is also ALWAYS on a diet, so whenever anyone else has something going in the microwave or brings food in for lunch, she walks into our little lunch area and ANNOUNCES what is cooking or makes a remark. Have the time no one is in the area, so she says it so it echos through the halls.
    Example: GEE, I WONDER WHO'S HAVING LASAGNA - SMELLS GOOD.
    Example: As you're stuffing a burrito in your mouth - OHHHHHHHHHHHHH, THAT SMELLS GOOD, WHAT IS IT?
    I want to scream - JUST EAT SOME F********** FOOD WILL YA?
    2. Select five books that I should put on my summer reading list.
    1. Complete Stories by Dorothy Parker
    2. Disney Wars by James B Stewart
    3. Jane Fonda autobiography (I don't know the title
    4. All 10 Joyce Evanovich's Stephanie Plum books
    5. Tour Guide to San Francisco ;>
    3. You have to throw together a party for 12 at your home this Saturday night. What will you serve? What will we do...music? games? fun? etc?
    Prime Rib in Horseradish Rub
    Sauted veggies
    Artichoke dressing
    Roasted Red Potatos
    Cesar Salad
    We'll play Hoopla, Cranium and Disney Scene It
    I think I would choose the "Make A Wish" foundation. Helping fulfill terminal children's wishes would be awesome.
    2. You get to pick the movie and your co-stars, what are you premiering in?
    Some kind of romantic comedy where there are several men vying for my attention. They would be Orlando Bloom, Hugh Jackman, Tom Welling, and oh ummmmm David Duchovny. :D
    3. You get to fly 10 pals to the Disney Resort of your choice, which one and what hotel?
    TDR for sure! Hotel Mira Costa.
    Let's repeat these again. I like them.
