Hmmm......I guess I would say getting married at 17 to get out of my mothers house. The only good thing that came out of that was two years after we were married I had my son.

    2. As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? Did you succeed?

    An actress, ummmm no.

    3. As a child, what toy did you desperately want yet never receive? Did you buy it when you were an adult?

Barbie's Dream House. I got the Townhouse instead. I never bought one for myself, but I do collect Barbies. My most recent purchase was Posion Ivy.

I think I was an older teen at the time and we had a rule in the ballet class I was in that we were required to wear a black or dark solid colored leotard and pink tights. My friend and I showed up in our pink and purple tie dyed leotard for class and were told we couldn't take class that day.

    2. As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? Did you succeed?

I knew I wanted to dance, maybe professionally and do some choreography. I do choreography and own my own studio. I was never the Rockette I wanted to be, but I do have several students who have pursued dance careers.

    3. As a child, what toy did you desperately want yet never receive? Did you buy it when you were an adult?

I wanted my own bike. I have four sisters and we always had to share one or two bikes. When I was making my own money I decided a car was a lot better and bought that instead.

I did a thorough cleaning out of my shoe closets two months ago. I got rid of any shoes I had not worn in the last year (either trashed them or gave them to my little sister). I went from 47 pairs of shoes down to 19.

    2. Where have you stayed while visiting Disneyland and or WDW?

I've only been to Disneyland. I've stayed at...

    HoJos: great service, great price
Paradise Pier Hotel: Concierge with my two 11 year old nieces. We enjoyed our stay.
Disneyland Hotel: December with my 28 year old niece. We loved it.
Grand Californian Hotel: Four times, twice concierge. The best.

    3. What are your three favorite flavors of ice cream?

I love ice cream and will accept any flavor offered to me. If I get to select my own flavors I usually choose:

Chocolate & Peanut Butter (Haagen Daz or BR31)
    Jamoca Almond Fudge
    Pralines & Cream

I have really been affected by The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy books. Whenever I am down they can pep me right up. Douglas Adams was such a cool guy, and I have some books of his that are not from the Hitchhiker series and they are great too. It was so sad that he died so young.

    2. What are three things you like about your mother.
I like the fact that we convinced her to move with us to Washington as soon as she sells her house.
I like (love) the fact that she basically got me through my first bout of leukemia in 1997.
I like how we are friends now.
    3. What are three traits you look for in a friend?
a sense of humor, dependability, and kindness.

I like these questions, let's do them again.

Several. The first one who comes to mind is Alexandra Stoddard. Her books are really difficult to describe. Over her 20+ year writing career, her subject matter has gradually evolved from straight interior design to a more philosophical "living graciously" type of thing. Like I said, very hard to describe, but she's had a big impact on how I view everything from decorating and running my home to the life choices that make me happy.

    2. What are three things you like about your mother.

-Her strength. She has survived many of the most horrific things a person could ever experience.
-Her absolute devotion to her family.
    -Her cooking. :)

    3. What are three traits you look for in a friend?

    Sense of humor, intelligence, honesty.

There's so much I want to do at DL next time I'm there! I think I'm most looking forward to the fireworks though, they look AMAZING!

    2. Do you have a scar? Want to tell us how you got it?

I have a small scar on my upper right arm. When I was in high school, I discovered a small bump under my skin. The doctor was "99.9% sure" it was a cyst but wanted to take it out just to be sure. Turns out it was actually a hemangeoma tumor. It was not cancerous but it was a little scary anyway.

    3. Are you still in touch with your first love?

    Yup, I married him!

    1. What did you do for your mom for mother's day?
    2. If you're married did you do anything special for your mother in law?
    3. If you had unlimited amounts of money to spend on your mom, what would you do for her?

I sent her a lavender colored Calla Lily plant in a nice basket. Lavender is her favorite color and she loves all kinds of plants.

    2. If you're married did you do anything special for your mother in law?

No, she passed away twenty-one years ago.

    3. If you had unlimited amounts of money to spend on your mom, what would you do for her?

I would add on a room to our house to have her stay with us. We have a two story house and no bedroom on the main floor. She's actually very happy living with my younger sister, but we would like her to be with us more often. I also would get a lovely suite on a cruise ship and take her on a great vacation.

    2. What did you do for Mother's Day?

Went to brunch at church hosted by the Men's group, went home and took a nap and then DB took me to my first professional soccer game.

    3. How will you spend Memorial weekend?

The Friday before Memorial Day we'll still be in Las Vegas, we're driving back to Orange County on Saturday. I imagine that on Sunday we'll be at Disneyland for a while and Monday should be a quiet day at home, maybe grilling some steaks and enjoying the swimming pool and hot tub.

So many things would have changed my life from what it is now. However, many of them would mean I wouldn't be where I am now--and I'm very happy where I am in life. I suppose the best thing I could have done was to avoid so much fast food. (I probably wouldn't be carrying the extra pounds I have.)

2.what is your favorite disney show?

If you're talking about the Disney Channel, I don't really watch it much. If you're talking about movies, I don't really have a favorite. Each one brings something special to me when I watch it.

    3. What is a good life lesson?

    Work can wait; life can't.

I'll unpack, putting clothes in drawers and on hangers. I'll iron items as I need them. I'm a little messy, but do better if I'm sharing a room with someone, I don't want them to have to deal with my clutter. I have a hang up case for bathroom items, works well. Yes, I do tip the maid, try to do it daily.

Gee, there are some must do things. A ride around the Park on the Railroad. Pirates and Jungle Cruise are good. A dark ride in Fantasyland, probably Peter Pan. An ice cream cone from Gibson girl and a stroll down Main Street. Catch the Parade or if it's evening the fireworks.

    3. What are you going to have for breakfast tomorrow morning?

I'm on a diet again and tomarrow is scramblers and fruit, followed by a trip to the gym.

Our big thing this summer is the trip to CA next month, one week at DLR and then one week in San Francisco. My favorite season is winter, cooler temps, hurricane season is over and the holidays!

    2. If you're going to the 50th next month, what three things are you most looking forward to? If not, when will your next visit to the Parks be?

Yes we are going! I am looking forward to the Big Meet, exploring the parks since we rarely make it to the west coast, and being in the park on July 17th!

    3. What are your 4th of July plans this year?

We have a family BBQ by the pool every year.
