And which one would you RATHER be like? (two questions for the price of one)

I have given up TV for the last year. Occasionally my DD and I will watch a video. Could you give up the internet for a month? I use it at work daily, but do not have it at home, and have not for over two years. So, um yes? lol 1. Which is better for you, Book or Movie? 2. Obama is successful at getting our economy back on track. 3. If given the opportunity to ride just one ride at the DLR all day, what would it be and why? Actually, the monorail. It's cool, comfortable, nostalgic, and you can see a lot from there. 1.) What is your idea of success? (you can even define the term on your own terms) 2.) What is one of the most embarassing things to happen to you? 3.) What TV show from your childhood do you cherish if any?
Originally Posted By RockyMtnMinnie 1.) What is your idea of success? (you can even define the term on your own terms) To be happy, healthy and loved and to learn as much about this world as I can before I die. 2.) What is one of the most embarassing things to happen to you? The one time I gave myself a black eye. I kept noticing when I would take a shower that the shower curtain rod was crooked. Then I would forget about it until next shower. I decided to take care of it one day while getting out of the shower. I stood on the edge of the tub to get to the shower curtain rod and pulled it toward me. Well, the tension released and it snapped and hit me in the eye, I slipped off the tub, and fell, naked in a big heap wrapped up in the fallen shower curtain. Next day I had a big shiner. I didn't tell anyone how I really got it. I told everyone I got it in a bar fight. 3.) What TV show from your childhood do you cherish if any? I have fond memories of Sesame Street and the Electric Company. When I try to rewatch some of the 80's shows I used to watch like The A-Team or Macgeyver, they are pretty hookey to me now. Good questions, let's ask them again!

What is one of the most embarassing things to happen to you? So many to choose from, but my first thought was when I literally fell on my face in 4th grade while trying to impress/annoy/gain attention from my brother and his girlfriend. Splat! Face planted first, then the rest of my body while attempting to mimic a Three Stooges move. 3.) What TV show from your childhood do you cherish if any? It would have to be Captain Kangaroo. Despite unrelenting teasing (to the point of tears) from my big sister and brother, I faithfully watched it and it enforced the tremendous love of reading my mother was already instilling in to me. Three of my favorite childhood books "Stone Soup" and "Mike Mulligan and his Steam Shovel" and "Make Way For Ducklings" were featured on that show. *sigh* (Mind if we use those same questions one more time?)
