I only come here intermittently but I'm a moderate. I was a registered Republican most of my life till this decade, but would still vote Democrat sometimes. I've voted for more Republicans than Democrats in my life, but I've always voted for both. I care more about the person than the little D or R. So I'm a moderate. I married a moderate. We have moderate kids (except the one going through the goth thing). We live in a moderate town. And what I see when I come back time after time, DouglasDubh, is you derailing things and doing this ridiculous "neener neener" stuff, as Kar2oonMan called it. Constantly. Once in a while you'll post something thoughtful, but the minute you're challenged on it, usually quite fairly, you lash out and say you're being attacked or dismissed or whatever. It's as predictible as night follows day. And then it's back to your "poor persecuted me" mode and "no it's not" and "you're projecting" and etc. etc. ad naseum. It's really very annoying, derails whole threads, and if you're interested in the opinion of a moderate who sees things kind of from the outside because I don't come here that often--well, there it is. Is it your fault? Yeah, I have to say it is.

If I've seemed like a liberal here, it's probably because I only started posting here a couple of years ago, and by then I was disgusted with George W. Bush and the far right dominating what used to be my party. Which puts me in the company of millions of other moderates. Talk about dismissing and denigrating someone because they said something you didn't want to hear. It really shows why people hold the opinion of you that they do.
