My results are here: http://mb.laughingplace.com/Ms....asp?C=1 Anyway I gave THAT phone a 6 out of 10. I give the old iPhone a 9 of 10 and I expect the new iPhone WHICH I WILL BE IN LINE FOR FRIDAY MORNING will raise me to a 10 of 10 with the faster net, GPS, and app store etc. The touch screen is the thing, with the iPhone it is soooo perfect. The Instinct touch screen has two problems. One, I found myself touching it more than once often, and two, the whole darn OS is just S L O W compared to the iPhone and now the new iPhone promises to be even FASTER>?!?!?! At $199 the new iPhone will be the THE phone. Blackberry users beware, Steve says you should start looking over your shoulders......... and Steve is always right. ;p Hey bottom line, does it have iTunes?!?! I plan to get in line around 6 AM, our store opens at 8 AM.

Consider this example: <<< If for example you are on your way to Starbucks, you could wirelessly order your drink from your iPod, pay for it using your iTunes account or the attached credit card, and pick it up without ever standing in line or waiting at a cash register.>>> The iPod and iPhone are mere lead ins. Steve Jobs is planning to take over currency and purchasing, out monetary system completely. Oh sure, laugh now. Who would have laughed at me 10 years ago if I had said, "in ten years, most music will be purchased virtually, over the internet, via your cell phone, and Apple will hold 70% of the market share for the hardware and software by which to purchase and listen to said music." It's going to happen. It is common sense that we as humans want some handheld device that will do EVERYTHING we want. Who is currently getting closer and closer to said device, not just from a hardware standpoint, but with the software, and OS, to get there? For some reason those Star Trek communicators aren't so impressive anymore are they?

Also, Virgin mobile now offers unlimited calling with NO contract in the US. The others will soon have to follow suit, and it will be sooner than later. The others just finally did get unlimited minutes plans.

The heat is really starting to affect me.....

And if I read it correctly, text messaging isn't included at all. I can't find out how much they will charge for each text. So, of course even though I waited for this new version, I might just pass on it for now.

Good grief!) He also said the phone service itself is $30 over what we pay now, IIRC. It was getting kinda confusing with all the add-ons

See how confusing it is? DVCdad says one thing, LuLu says the other and I believe that both have done due research into the pricings. So it is not just me that is confused. And yes, I'm just dying over the app stores that would improve my life by far. But I'm not going to do it until I find out the real price per month. Having had AT&T for years (AT&T to Cingular and back) I know that what the price they say and the price you pay are different.

Also, updated to OS2 this morning and have gotten a few of the apps from the app store with iTunes 7.7 Great stuff so far, been using aim all morning. If you have aim and want to add me my name is.....well......you can figure it out. haa haa im thinking I am going to get the new one really soon now. I want the 3g so I can surf and be able to get phone calls.

I know of a couple that is guying two of these, one for each daughter and they live in a 3 BedRoom condo. Now granted, its a nice condo, but come on. The mom is a single working mother who often complains about being able to make ends meet and yet? Anyway, I refuse to buy my son (13 yr old) an iPhone or even an iPod touch. It just isn't something he NEEDS. Now me on the other hand, I REALLY NEED it. ;p My son has the freebe Nokia one that comes as an add on line and I'm not so sure he really NEEDS that one.

I will go get the rates and post them. BRB!!!
