We'd likely go in and try and win their hearts and minds, while they would be there trying to kill us. Who'd win that? They would. To win, we'd have to go in there and basically kill most all of them, until they were simply no longer able to put up any kind of fight. It's what we need to do in Iraq. And we aren't. And the sight of us being so utterly ineffectual there has emboldened all of our enemies around the world. It is plainly obvious to them that we don't have the stomach to do what it takes to win. So they really have nothing to fear from us.
