That isn't the fault of any of the entertainment teams - that is entirely down to park management not allocating sufficient budget to replace product. The mantra of "if it ain't broke don't fix it" permeates through the veins these days.

Oh boy was it - but that venue is a creative director's worst nightmare. The entire thing needs to be enclosed. Sadly that won't happen when the Princesses are kicked out next year.

<<I haven't seen TS: The Musical, but everyone I know who has says it is very poor compared with others. And the new Villians Tonight on the Disney Magic, which I recently saw in person, is really pretty weak and not nearly as good as the Golden Mickeys it replaced.>>

I must admit that I'm always surprised about Toy Story - The Musical as it rates highly onboard but it seems the majority of fans really hate it. Personally I like it. Villains Tonight I don't understand at all - doesn't do anything for me at all. I did like The Golden Mickeys a lot - and it isn't often I've seen a revue-style show that I like.

Thankfully not - his contract wasn't renewed.

I wasn't a fan of his work in Paris at all (and he has an ego the size of Spaceship Earth) - it was all too kitschy and gimmicky. The better product at DLP like The Lion King, Tarzan and Mulan didn't come from him.

Don't forget my personal favorite - Laughing Stock Co! I love those guys.

To this day I don't understand why they canned Chance To Shine and we ended up with a whole series of HPB missteps including the current yukky Drawn To The Magic. There was so much more energy in the park when there was live entertainment like Three Bags Full.

Of course, my daughter and I are probably the only people who like the looks of HPB during the day! LOVE the bright colors!!!!

I could write endlessly about that ... but the bottom line is its bad management simply looking at short term bottom lines.

Disney parks should never be viewed as stale. And I am not talking crazy fans like (some of) us, or just regulars ... if you go to WDW and the same parades and shows you saw in 1975 or 1991 or 1998 or 2003 are still showing in 2010 that is just pathetic show.

I heard they were being moved. Is there an actual show coming?

Never seen it. BUT ... never heard anything good except someone here (maybe Doobie?) said they liked it.

One wonders why it has been axed for DCA if it truly was Aladdin quality.

Golden Mickeys was great on the Magic and was great at HKDL.

Villians Tonight wasn't unwatchable, but it certainly was pretty lousy and seemed to aim more at young childern (why should this surprise me?)

HAHAHA ... those were the good, old days at DCA!

I only knew him casually, so I have no idea what type of job he did ... but he certainly seemed to make it seem that Lion King and Tarzan were his 'babies' ... and even if they weren't, the fact DLP entertainment was so much better than , plus his Cirque background, made you believe what he said.

You know we agree completely on all of the above.

Entertainment was one area (merchandise was another) that DCA 1.0 got very right from the start ... so they ruined it, naturally!

I like the UP remix they showed on the big screen.

Lots of people of all ages were having fun and you don't need to drink. Tho I did see one person that had a little too much and Security escorted them someplace safer. One of the glow cart cms was really getting into the spirit and leading a congo line around the streets. Other cms were waving the glow sticks with the music.

Kept me entertained for more than an hour watching everyone.

There's a Greek food truck near the Greetings candy shop open for business now.
