You know what else I always stick in the fridge, just out of habit I guess.....opened chips. I put one of those bag clips on them and stick them in the fridge.

And TALL, you shouldn't knock Frozen Thin Mints till you've tried them. They don't get hard. They get... crisp and cold. The way mint should be. ;o)

While we're on the subject of fruit:

Tomatoes - In. I think purists consider them fruit. I remember reading that they're supposed to taste better if left out, but I just can't do it. We don't eat them fast enough.

Margarine - In
Real butter - A stick out on a covered butter dish. From my understanding, fats that are solid at room temperature are safe to leave out so

Shortening - Out

A Q and A here http://extension.missouri.edu/
explore/qa/foodnutrition0012.htm discusses the safety of summer sausage and pepperoni, and butter.

Batteries - Out
Film - In. Although I rarely use my film camera any more. My dad was a photographer and always kept his film in the fridge so I always do too. Habits.

And, yes, Thin Mints must be enjoyed straight out of the freezer. :-D
