Most rides had very short lines on Tuesday, but the lines at Nemo were very long everytime we checked.

Even HM was a walk on yesterday, a striking contrast with Sunday.

We went to Universal today, and the all the major stuff in 4 hours. The only wait was for the studio tour, and that was only about 20 minutes. It didn't feel as hot and the wind wasn't so noticeable.

The conditions did take their toll on us Sunday through Tuesday. The hot winds will dehydrate one quickly, and the free water is wretched.

So I don't think it's "just like smog" unless DL is somehow not in the flow of the smoke.

The O.C. Department of Ed decided to cancel all extracurricular activities until Sunday (10/28) due to the air conditions. The air smelled horrible on Mon & Tues. You could see ash falling most of the week. I could still smell smoke off and on Wednesday. It wasn't bad Friday or Saturday.

It was not fun to keep the kids inside at recess and lunch all week, but necessary. They didn't believe me when I told them the air was too bad to play outside (1st graders).

We were at Disneyland from about 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. last night. My wife wanted to see the Halloween decorations and have dinner. We just walked around the park, not intending on going on any attractions, save the Monorail, which we used to enter the park. It's good thing we didn't want to go on anything, because the place was PACKED.

The air quality seemed fine to us. As a matter of fact, my wife remarked how nice it was to walk, er, get jostled about (quite rudely, at times) in the frsh air for a while after all the bad air this week. Didn't see anyone wearing masks, little kids were everywhere, and the fireworks were scheduled to go off as planned.

But boy, one monorail running on a Saturday night? Were they nuts? The line at the Monorail station at Downtwon Disney wasn't bad (you only had to wait for one round trip to board the next one) but the line for the Monorail in Tomorrowland stretched all the way down the ramp past the beginning of it and then some. It easily over an hour wait just to take a trip to Downtown Disney or a ride trip back, which DIDN'T go through DCA. We thought it might somehow be the Nemo line, which people were cutting into constantly, but nope.

People! Walk back to the hotel for Pete's sake, or blow it off! Make better use of your time! There was no cast member direction at the bottom of the ramp, because on our way down the exit ramp, we ran into a few Jethro and families sayin' gawrsh, but THIS line sure'n is short, I wunder why no wun is usin' it. Unreal.

But the decorations were nice and we're looking forward to Christmas beingup soon. We just need to remind ourselves to keep the weekend night visits to an absolute minimum.

We've found the air in DLR to be OK. Each day has been better. Friday we woke up to THICK fog and it actually sprinkled a couple of times yesterday.
I agree with the smog comparison. Especially on Wed and parts of TH. The rest of the days have been OK.

Fantasmic and Fireworks both went off as scheduled. It was a little weird to see the flames on the river and Main Street :(

You know, at certain times you have to wonder if running just one isn't counter-productive.

The parks were great during the day but very crowded at night on Fri. and Sat.(to be expected). We did the early morning and were able to hit almost everything in the first 4 hours. It was great.
