    >>Privately, Democratic campaign officials have sent video clips of Palin's previous debates to the Huffington Post, noting her strong performances against more experienced Alaskan pols.

There is a legitimate sense of unease that the bar has been set so low for Palin that even a modest performance will be seen as a major success -- and that Palin may be capable of much more.<<

One of those clips is at the link. She's no Reagan, but she's far from that incoherent twit that was talking to Katie Couric.

I still think her biggest prob has been overcoaching. We shall see what transpires, but do not assume she's just going to disintegrate Thursday night.

It also, just by coincidence, shows Palin, on camera, in no uncertain terms, declaring her support for a constitutional amendment banning abortion even in the case of rape or incest. Funny, that. ;-)

But I think they have overdid it on overcoaching her as well. EVERY site I go to and see responses of her for that interview with Couric, everyone says the same thing, all over the place and nothing but talking points. I think they drilled it in her to 'stay on message' so much, she's overdoing it. Even that very first question about McCain advisors being on the board, she repeated the same thing TWICE when Couric asked her two different questions of the same subject. Its pretty embarrasing.

But yeah, I am SO excited for these debates lol. You know how much of political/news junky someone is when they are actually postponing a day at the beach with girls because they want to watch the debates in the afternoon lol.

Yeah, Biden was out there working the post-debate shows like a VP is supposed to. It's absolutely laughable that people are talking about his gaffes with Palin out there.

    But where was Palin?

Again, it amazes me that people for the McCain side cant see how much they are hiding and sheilding this woman from the press. Of course, some think its some bizarre 'strategy' they are doing.

I have a feeling if she bombs at the debates, we wont hear from this woman again until November 4th.....after the booths have closed ;).
