They use to have a combo plate with Buffalo, Elk, and Ostrich for $30. That was a very reasonable price for quality food I thought 6 years ago.

I believe that the Wilderness Lodge is a destination Hotel but is not a 4 star Hotel in anyway shape or form. I know Disney calls it a Deluxe property but its more like a moderate level accomidations in the Deluxe catagory.

The second picture is about the same number of ducks I saw at AK on 2 visits.

Oh, and I think for what you paid, you did get a reasonable deal.

But normally I wouldn't pay north of $200 for the WL, and remember it is my favorite WDW resort. It's not a value at the price point you got EXCEPT with the three free nights (which obviously took your average price down to what? $175-190 a night?) That is fair for what the WL offers.

We feed them. Somewhere there is a picture of my older sister feeding a crow type bird out of her hand. She also keeps dog bones in her car so she can feed the wild coyotes in her neighborhood.

We feed the ducks at Casey's Corner too!

Well rack rate is never a value. I always check for bargains when I know I'm going, and that's always value season since I hate the heat. I use to belong to that Disney Club (I can't remember the name) that always saved me money. Naturally they did away with that. If that "are you 23 promo" is what I think it is, I wonder if they will have discounts. It might be worth the money.

I didn't make it over to the Dixielanding this time Nikki even though I wanted to see the Butterfly Garden. It's just to much of a hassle traveling around property when you're tethered to a scooter.
I hope you have better luck with the wildlife than I did. Let me know how it turns out.

If you like a cool beer or two in the evening while sitting on your balconey, you better bring your own.

I still have the stack of years of the Disney Magazine and the Insider. The Insider now comes as an e-mail.

And Saturday afternoons, watching "Walt Disney World Inside Out" another fun thing gone.... George Foreman and 2 people whose names I don't remember.
