I would have no problem with that happening today if venues are also provided for other non-government meeting purposes, and they followed the same guidelines.

I remember there used to be a bible study that I attended for a while when I was in high school. We met in the band room, and the room was *packed*. They eventually put a stop to the meetings, but I don't think I ever heard the supposed reason for it. It seemed to me that if they provided rooms for meetings for other groups during lunch, our group wasn't any different. The teacher didn't mind having his room used, and no one was coerced into going, and we finished up in time so that everyone made their next class on time. That would be about the closest thing to discrimination that I could think of.

I would be fine with that. Would you be okay with a Koran study group meeting there?

Non-denominationals weren't even listed. I have a hard time believing the numbers are that low to not be on the chart.

    >>POST 21... can we add people who swear by chiropractors, and home schooling as being the ONLY way to go, to that post?

You begin to see the type of person. Why can't we all just get along and be friends?<<

I need to ask you DVC Dad, is your problem with homeschooling in general? Or people who preach it's the only way?

Would you be willing to let the Bible study group be monitored? Would you let every group be monitored regardless of content?

Yep. Christian study groups don't have a history of planning terror attacks based on what the bible tells them. In fact, people in Bible study groups are going to be very friendly and helpful.

The Koran leads directly to terrorism.

    See the difference?

    I'm just stating the facts.

You have to click through a couple more links to find them. 6.8% gave their religion as "Christian" and 2.2% as "Protestant" without specifying a denomiation. Also, 5.4% refused to answer the question at all.

There's lots more numbers to play with here:

    No.

But..... 99% of the terrorists today are Muslim.

Christians don't celebrate killing of the non beleiver like many Muslims do.

In fact, any " Christian " that blows up an abortion clinic or does any other vile act is always an outcast and held up to the maximum penalty by other christians.

Islam doesn't hold anyone accountable and can point to many passages in their Koran to back up their killing as justifiable.

Islam is a death cult... period.

    >> (Vatican City) In marking the Stations of the Cross during Good Friday observances in Rome Pope Benedict XVI called for the "filth" that surrounds society to be cleansed and said the world is in the grip of "a diabolical pride aimed at eliminating the family".

"Lord, we have lost our sense of sin," he said. "Today a slick campaign of propaganda is spreading an inane apologia of evil, a senseless cult of Satan, a mindless desire for transgression, a dishonest and frivolous freedom, exalting impulsiveness, immorality and selfishness as if they were new heights of sophistication.â€

Although the Pontiff did not specifically name same-sex relationships the message was clear, less than a week after Italian voters elected a leftist government committed to recognizing gay and lesbian couples. <<

Remind me again why I'm supposed to embrace these loving representatives of the 'prince of peace'.

Public schools? Hmmmm... Lets see... did my kids get Good Friday off? No. Is there religious education at their school? Nope. Public schools remain nice and secular.

Face it. You are overly sensitive to the fact that you're gay and make everything into a "they're all against us world."

Boo~fricken~hoo. Grow up and stop thinking it's all about you.

I've already told you I'm not that type of person. I can't prove it ~ you'll just have to take my word on it. I don't give a rats behind how you live your life but you have taken *MY* topic and used it for *YOUR* own agenda.

You don't have to accept Christians as a whole, but remember; we *DON'T* have to accept homosexuality either.

Congradulations. You alone, with your "poor little gay boy me" attitude, have given me more reason to side with the right-wing extremists.
