The tooning was a waste of money. 2) There is an overreliance on the animation (though the sand and paper animation sequences are cool), I felt they could have made more of the fountains themselves. I have always been more of an Illuminations than a F! Fan. In fact I have always felt F! is overrated. I was worried they would overuse the animation, and it seems like they have. 3) the music in the last section felt wrong. It felt cheesy and not a great fit IMHO. Overall the show looks cool, and a worthy addition. But if it is a choice between WoC and going to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, it seems Fla wins for now. I will reserve judgement for when I see it live, but I got enough of a feel to think it is a little disjointed. Some of the scenes are amazing though.

I never judged a live show without seeing it first. I offered my opinion based on what I saw in a video. "If someone that thinks it will great based on the video but then finds out it sucks when viewed live will eventually get an accurate (for them) opinion of the show." And if someone thinks it will suck based on the video and it sucks in person, that person will have wasted their money and should have gone with their first impression. "Someone that makes a judgment just from the video and chooses not to see it because of it doesn't have that opportunity." People do not have infinite amounts of money to try everything. People must discriminate based on what they see in commercials, hear from word of mouth and read in reviews. Some people just go to the theater and see whatever is playing. Others thumb through the reviews to see if there's anything good out. Both are valid methods to seek out something to watch or do, and yes, some may decide nothing looks good and just stay home.

Disney got what they wanted from it—large groups of people to stay at DCA and watch the new fantastic water show!

Crying with the person next to you when (well for those of you who have seen it you know what I'm talking about) the show is just to amazing to see at home on a screen. There is so much emotion in this show. Yes the storyline is thin but I think this is the most emotional show Disney has ever done in a park, including RDCT. The soundtrack is amazing! I was able to get a copy of it, so if anyone wants a copy let me know by emailing me at adiatdl2007(at)yahoo(dot)com <---- (Don't want Spam)

"I am sure spokker if you see it in person you would change your tune about WOC." I have seen it in person (because it didn't end up being the 5 hour wait that people were talking about) and I didn't change my opinion much. It's a great show that is largely effects driven but the content (Disney movies mashed together, mostly haphazardly) left me wanting more substance, which was exactly the impression I got from the videos.

The ONE time I saw it in DL we arrived pretty much as it was starting and just stood way up the back, viewing between people's heads. That's about as much "wait time" and effort I would put into seeing this show.......and yet it was STILL better than the tacky version they show at MGM.

Originally Posted By davewasbaloo >>>i dont think any of dlr shows are over rated.. i just think ur missing the whole magic of the shows<<< Ok, perspective is important. There are a lot of lame things DL has done, some awesome, some good and some just ok. It is all opinion, but F! is not worth the wait IMHO. And although I like the look of WoC, it seems like Remember There's MAgic in the Stars and Illuminations had more emotion that appealled to me. The music for some of WoC seems cheesy and will sound aged too in a few years. I hate the song at the end of the show. It's great if you are a local, and that is who this is maybe meant to appeal to. For a long distance tourist however, I am disappointed, and when choosing where to spend my £'s during a recession, the Harry Potter area of IOA is more alluring to me (more mature). I love the effects of WoC, but the new fountain show in India is more impressive to me. My key disappointment with the entire vision for the new DCA is still the focus on toons. And this show, like the rediculous version of Fantasmic in Florida, seems to rely too much on animated sequences on screens. And that is a real shame. Heck, I would have still preferred a show based on the culture and history of California with the odd nod and wink at DIsney as a part of that. There are many sequences that are very cool in WoC, but there is a thread missing, and it feels more like a medley than an intertwined presentation. I am sure we will enjoy it, maybe even love it next time we go to DL. But there is no way I will wait hours for it. Hopefully by the time we make it, things will calm down, or there will an opportunity by that point to wait no more than 30 minutes.

I think WOC is an amazing show, but I dont know if it will have the repeat viewings like F! has for most. That said, WOC can change and supposedly it will in time, so thats a HUGE plus for it as well.
