Now you're complaining they are doing too much?? Everything in HPB will still be open while this is going on, so I dont get the issue? Alladin will be doing shows until 9 pm there as well for people who cant see WOC. And the FP line, its been said, plan for the worst. If its not needed in a few weeks, months, they will simply stop it or scale it back to one show. And if its bigger than planned, then a third show will be added. Again, better safe than sorry, right? The ONLY thing I can see anyone getting upset about is the PP stuff closing early, which is why Glow Fest stuff is there. And as long as you are in line for one of the attractions by 8 p.m. you can do it. Its only two hours and there are rumors TSMM may stay open anyway. So the hand wringing is just a little too much. Give it a few weeks before you deem WOC a failure and Disney overplanned for nothing.

The FP system in this case lets people that have gone to the expense of flying in and staying in a hotel not have to dedicate most of a day to seeing a half hour show when they can only afford to be at the parks for a few days. The system in this case seems to favor people that are going to be at the park all day which is probably more characteristic of the out of town visitor. With DL and DCA less than a 5 minute walk apart and I would guess over 95% of all visitors to either park have park hopping (multi-day passes or AP) it is kind of silly to talk in terms of DCA's historic attendance figures. I think most people treat DCA as another "land" of DL. A new show, if it is considered good, will be mobbed just the same whether it is at DCA or DL. As someone that is flying out to DL, I'm very glad they are doing the FP. I probably would not be coming out this year if not for WoC and might cancel the trip if I found out that there was no way to see the show without camping out for 6 hours.

Now they say WOC will transform the park in 2010, with 8,000-10,000 people still in the park at 9PM to watch 2 shows (maybe 3) per night. Discussion boards in a frenzy for months. What will actually happen? It could go either way really.

It is possible to ask a sincere question without having a bias toward one of the answers, you know. Have you seen that new movie? Is it any good? (asks someone else) Have you seen it? How about you, have you seen it? WHY?! Why do you keep asking people that?! Maybe you don't want it to fail, but you sure aren't championing it either!

Whenever i Usually do dca first then DL for the rest of the night b/c it's open later. Now with WOC it has to be slightly busier.

Starts to get a little "sky is falling". I like the way they are handling WOC. Its gives me 4 choices. 1 - FP 2 - Spend $15 on Picnic 3 - Spend $40 on nice dinner 4 - Watch from a lesser spot Choices. Love it.

Maybe I'm curious as to why he's so "curious". It just seems odd that someone who works at DL would be so adamant about making a point to say that WOC is being over-hyped here.
Originally Posted By tashajilek "making a point to say that WOC is being over-hyped here." I dont really think WOC is getting over hyped. It takes years for something new to come to the parks. So when the time comes most people are excited and they should be!

Your right, and most visitors probably wont even know its new and hasnt been there already. I think its good that Fans are excited and give us all something to talk about in our everyday boring lives LOL.
