You can't compare WoC to Fantasmic, just as you can't compare the fireworks or the Electrical Parade or Aladdin Musical to Fantasmic. They are just different things and different forms of entertainment. World of Color is truly an amazing sight to see, and offers up an EXTREMELY ENTERTAINING 26 minutes of time. The Anaheim CM's are raving about it all over the place, except for a few grumpy gus types who are part of the Fantasmic! team and are jealous they aren't the only game in town any more. Interestingly, the WDI folks mostly had a "meh" attitude towards it, but many people in WDI have surprisingly bad attitudes towards Company products. But the hourly CM's in Anaheim are raving after the last two nights of Cast Previews. Everyone is talking about it at work, and the reviews are generally stellar and quite impressed with it all. Most importantly, I think the average tourist is just going to totally dig it. It's an amazing show, unlike anything in America today. It will WOW! and delight and entertain people, and give them a very positive feeling about DCA.

But I know for a fact that two of those three Tweets are coming from CM's that are part of the Fantasmic! operations team in some capacity, and they have not just a financial investment in Fantasmic! as their primary work location, but they also have great emotional investment in that show as well. So take any of the Meh type reviews coming from CM's with a grain of salt. There is a growing rift between Disneyland and DCA CM's, with Disneylanders beginning to realize they can't make fun of DCA much any more. And especially for Fantasmic! CM's, their world just got turned upside down with the debut of World of Color.

Is this a real thing or gentle teasing? Seems pretty stupid if it's real, but I've heard of these kinds of rifts at all levels of the company. Lots of egos and stuff.
