I don't see where they will have room to do this show considering that it will be packed in the bay area. And, I noticed that it looks like it'll only be performed before the 1st show only.<<<

The preshow takes place in the viewing area, Paradise Park. The puppets parade through the exit walkways between the crowds, and the dancers/hosts use vaults in the planters as mini-stages.

No, it doesn't. You're so thick you don't even realize my sense of "gay" as connoting something frivolous and silly is inherent to the word, in terms of how it sounds today or it would have sounded 90 years ago.

As for changes to another theme park (or was the case with the premiere of DisneySea in 2001) -- and assuming this other observer's opinion is reliable (or will be shared by many) -- the sense of accomplishment and high-quality work far beyond the boundaries of DCA makes that park seem even more peculiarly mediocre and absurd...

The ongoing improvements to DCA couldn't have come one millisecond -- one nanosecond -- too soon.

But I haven't heard much in the way of storyline. I don't think it needs to be as cohesive as Kruse wants it to be, but there should be something to string it all together. Fantasmic! has Mickey's dreams. BraviSEAmo! has the love story between a fountain and a big robot, or whatever the hell that was supposed to be about.

A great technical achievement is marred by this "film trailers on mist screens" quality.

World of Color is based on the TV show, and is meant to evoke a carousel of color with a really big display of water and color. Each moment has its own storyline (Colors of Earth, Sea and Sky, Colors of Fears, Colors of the Sea, etc) An intricate story arc would have slowed down the show, in my opinion.

No, but the review lines up with what I have heard, read and seen about the show thus far.

I will probably not see the show for a long time.

Not all of it is. The storyline is set up in the beginning. By the time the princesses go away we get the full "dream to nightmare" treatment. That's actually my favorite part of the show and I usually joke that it's "when the story kicks in." It ain't Shakespeare but it works.

"Each moment has its own storyline (Colors of Earth, Sea and Sky, Colors of Fears, Colors of the Sea, etc)"

Those sound more like themes, which is all well and good. But for people who want to see more of a performance with a light storyline, it's not going to be enough.

"An intricate story arc would have slowed down the show, in my opinion."

I don't know that anyone is looking for an intricate story arc. They'd just like the story to arc at some point.

But it sounds like Kruse recommends the show. It's not a negative review.

The Kruse review is the first actual analytical take on the show that I've seen. Do you know of any other real reviews?

Most of what we are seeing are early impressions on Twitter and on discussion boards, people who say, "Oh it was awesome!" That sort of thing. One blurb on Twitter read, "world of color was orgasmic." It doesn't really tell us a lot about the show.
