We ended up closing school around 11:00 because so many parents were freaking out and coming to pick up their kids. Everyone's a little freaked out though - the last time we had snow (Christmas Day '04), we got Katrina 8 months later. I hope it was just a coincidence.

The main streets get plowed, but not the neighborhoods. Our HOA will hire a private plow to clear our streets when the rare 1 foot plus storm hits.
