My other friend really really wanted a girl, she even tried some of the tips she'd read to have one, when they went for an extra scan at 34 weeks to check the position of the placenta, they clearly saw it wasnt a girl, from that moment her thoughts instantly changed, she was so pleased she was having a boy. He's 6 now and she still keeps saying how glad she is she had a boy.

If I hadn't actually been able to see him moving, I'm not sure I'd be able to make much sense of those pictures either! I did have a Level 2 ultrasound done yesterday and the pics came out much more clearly. http://albums.photo.epson.com/ j/ViewPhoto?u=4163452&a=32056511&p=73935479 Even better, the doctors were able to rule out a few of the birth defects that can be side effects of my seizure medication. The little guy was being a bit stubborn so we didn't get a great look at his spine so we'll be back next month for another ultrasound!

That was 17 years ago though. I havent heard of anyone doing anything similar with babies here, it must be an American thing, I do like the sound of it though!! I dont know anyone who has had a " baby shower" ( is that what you call them?) either. Just when the baby is born everyone flocks to the hospital with first sized baby grows....lol....so by the time theyre 3 months old they have out grown all their presents! tis true! oh and socks too. We do have Babies R Us here though!! great selection of equipment, hardly any clothes. Very very understaffed....!!!!!! Mothercare is our main one, do you have that there? ok, bed time. night
