That's what the resolution says. And it's hard to believe anybody is saying he isn't in defiance of 1441, because 1441 said he must disarm. And, yes, we'll call for a vote." However, they didn't call for a vote, because France announced they would veto the second resolution before the vote could be called. If you say you're going to have a picnic in the park tomorrow, and then it rains so you cancel, did you lie? No. Similarly, there was no intent to deceive by the President. <CIA Learned in '02 That Bin Laden Had No Iraq Ties, Report Says> Strange that no one in the CIA told Director Tenet. As I have already shown, in 2003 he believed there were links between Iraq and Al Queda.

In this thread, we've read about conservatives and liberals denouncing Saddam Hussein in the same terms, and voting for the same war based on the same intelligence. While conservatives are labeled "liars," liberals are painted as sincere, and nuanced. When a conservative president takes-out a dictator, he's a terrorist and a thug. When a liberal (Clinton) does the same thing, the war is "humanitarian." I'm telling you, I'm not all that conservative on all issues. Conservative attitudes drive me downright nuts when it comes to education, for instance. BUT ... it's liberal inconsistency and vindictive politics that has me running as far away from the left as I can possibly get. I know quite a few liberals who feel the same way about the 'loud and looney' left. It's this frenzied "BUSH LIED" shrieking crusade that makes it difficult, if not impossible, for modern liberals to be taken seriously ... even by those who agree with them on principle.
