I wouldn't wait 3 hours in a line to meet Walt Disney himself.

Does that mean I'm not a true fan?

However, if I did meet Walt, the meeting might be something like this...

    Walt Disney: 'Hello, Jim'

Jim in Merced: 'Hello, Mr. Disney, it's nice to meet you. When you were in charge of Walt Disney Productions, say in the 60s, did you draw Mickey Mouse?'

WD: 'I have to admit, at that time, I did not draw.'

JiM: Then you thought up all the jokes and ideas?'

WD: 'No, I didn't do that.'

JiM; 'Mr. Disney, just what did you do?'

WD: 'Well, sometimes I thought of myself as a little bee. I'd go from one area of the Studio to another and gather pollen and sort of stimulate everybody. I guess that's the job I did.'

    [pause]

JiM: 'Do you like Seasons of the Vine?'

I suggest this memory might be a little inaccurate. A six hour line for Indy, even if it extended down Main Street, would have trailed way out into the old parking lot, without question.

Memories of wait times have a funny way of being inaccurate. It's been mentioned before, but it absolutely true--ask a Guest how long they were "stuck" on a broken ride, and you will routinely get 50 to 100% more than the actual time. As a dweeby kid, we always timed lines that were long, just because we thought that was a cool function of our watches. Well more than 3/4 of the time, the posted wait was significantly more than the actual wait. And dear Indiana Jones, even when it extended out to Central Plaza, was less than 3 hours.

    :)

So how long of a wait will a ride that has about half the capacity and is brand new.... Maybe over 6 hours????

That is one ride worth Fast Passing!

I believe I waited just over three hours for Indy when it opened. With a group if friends, and the high expectations, it isn't really that onerous a task.

(And I would wait three days in line to meet Walt!)

3 1/2 hrs in line for Splash
1 hour for what we thought was the line for the subs. Turns out it was for the monorail. My cousin thought only hotel guests could ride so we left and got in the right line for the subs and waited another 1 1/2 hours.
    IASW 45 minutes
    Dumbo 1 1/2
I think we saw the electrical parade and that was it. I was very disappointed in my DL experiance. I didn't go back for 13 or 14 years and then I had to be talked into going. We went the second week of March 2003. Spent 3 days in the park. The longest wait we had was maybe 10 minutes or so. I've been a fan ever since but still avoid the park during "peak" times.

Now with all the security and cameras it is not advisable to argue with anybody about anything.Don"t you think LP deserves a special line for Nemo Subs?

I was right there with you. Were you there for the 60 hour opening party? I still have my freebie Star Tours watch! Oddly, I can still remember that the very thing we did that day was ride the railroad--because that is where my brothers and I tried to set our watches to the correct time. 20 years ago!

    Yikes!

As far as the subs, expect two to three hour lines for the first year. Since FastPass isn't an option, the only thing to do is get there before the park opens and get in line at one of the turnstiles. That's what they do in Tokyo! :)

Hmmm. I guess I'd spend a lot of time just walking around the park, enjoying the scenery.
