In this year's Tour, now that Armstrong has dropped from contention, Levi Leipheimer has the best chance for team Radio Shack, and Armstrong now rides to support Leipheimer.

Sort of like the Grinch after realizing that Christmas perhaps doesn't come from a store, and that maybe it means just a little bit more.

That's just the impression I get.

<I've seen interviews with the man, and he's never come across that way to me. Self confident, yes, arrogant, no.>

That's cool. We are in the 'I don't get' section right?

    That's why I posted here.

And he let them take pictures, so my friend has a head on shot of him racing right next to Lance.

That doesn't sound like a jerk to me.

People talk as if they know celebrities. Anecdotal stories are used as evidence that they're a great person or a jerk. We don't know these people at all. Not by a long shot. We have no clue what motivates them, what their personalities are like, etc. We are in the dark, yet we talk as if we're friends or at least acquaintances with these people.

Because what you want may not be what is available for sale in any shop. Keep in mind there are pins from DL, WDW, DLP, TDR, HKDL. Yeah, you could go to eBay and probably buy it, but the trading is part of the fun, or at least it's supposed to be.
