Luckily, the fact that I'm in the minority means that I'm not needed to keep the human race going and my brother has a son so the name lives on so there's no pressure there either. Also, I agree on the Melon thing - who decided that was food?!!!

I start looking around for my remote to use the fast forward button and then remember it's live -fishing. I used to go with my dad. My memories are of getting up way too early to sit in a boat and stare at the line. If I caught a fish, I felt sorry for it and taking it off the hook grossed me out.

In fact, if I didn't have the post-divorce financial mess I'm dealing with, I'd likely have starte4d the process to adopt an older child already. In fact, there's this one 15-year-old I saw profiled on local news a few weeks ago that I think would be the perfect kid for me to adopt if I were in a position to afford a kid. But, c'est la vie - I'll likely be in my 40s if and when I ever have a child in my life... and my preference will be that s/he is potty trained first! lol

I love big, bustling cities and hotels and theme parks etc. But it's really nice every once in awhile to slow down and go camping. Playing cards at a picnic table or just reading with the sounds of the forest around you or cooking outdoors or walking along by a little creek.... that's good stuff, man. I think the key to enjoying it is trying to resist packing 9 million things. I see some people hauling all that gear and they look like they're moving, not camping. Keep it simple. Really simple. And try to go to one of the less-traveled campgrounds to get a little space around you.

I want a child who can go to the bathroom, tell me what's wrong in words and come to the movies with me. 7+ (at least) should do it!!!
