I assumed, just like you said, that keeping the official tag on the cap after purchase was to prove the product's authenticity. On official sports gear, the nice foil sticker with a halogen image of league's logo printed on the foil (i.e. NFL or MLB) is usually stuck underneath a cap's bill, not put on the cap's outer sides like a price tag, as referenced in the article. I've seen guys and gals all over California leaving the foil tag under the cap's bill, and didn't associate it as being just an urban fad (based on who I saw wearing their foil tag under their bill).

If this is about leaving the price tag on the hat, I haven't seen that before and would wonder how retailers would distinguish between a customer in their store who's wearing a purchased cap with price left on vs someone who stole the cap off the racks and is wearing a cap (w/price tag attached) out of the store, without purchasing the cap.

I just saw a preview for "Cats and Dogs." These movies look awful. Animated talking animals--fair enough. Animators can make the creatures look much more human. But a dog with some voice over work? Ugh.

Ah, but Jay Leno may not qualify for the first part of this ("It's Really Popular") for much longer!

Ultimate Fighting Championship, or something like that. It's basically no-holds-barred fighting. Any style is allowed, and I don't think there are much in the way of rules either.

    Ah.

I guess I will have to reserve that for a new topic:

It's true, cream sauces make me gag. I can eat noodles with garlic butter/oil amd parm, but ad that cream and I am out, yuck.
I ODed on white chocolate as a teen. It's only recently that I can tolerate it mixed in baked goods at all.
