How about in UniBoi terms? That time when we all walked into Hogsmeade, saw Hogwarts, and all stopped dead in our tracks. That's the feeling of thematics. I can't exactly say that SWSA's ending did that for me, but I certainly know what David is referring to.

LOL They will think that FLE is great, perfect as is, and it'll draw in guests. Once it does that, it's DONE. Unless there is a radical change in managment or their way of thinking. Which would be lovely.

I read somewhere they may use the existing restroom space for an interactive queue for Peter Pan.

Are people really that in need of constant entertainment these days that they can't relax and stand in a queue for 20-40 minutes without going crazy? Of course, I will admit that the Peter Pan queue has become almost unbearable thanks to Fast Pass. It used to be in continuous motion, so even though it took long, you still felt like you were getting there. (Same with Space Mountain too.) Now, you stand there for a while, move a little, and stand some more. I really can't understand why ANYONE waits for that ride - I only ever go if I have a FastPass.

If that is what TDO has decided beacause THEY think that's what the GUESTS are thinking then.....YES. TDO clairvoincy + WDI vanity projects= Next-Gen Queue. Hence why NO OTHER MK ON EARTH is getting this.
Originally Posted By plpeters70 <<Hence why NO OTHER MK ON EARTH is getting this>> Is is strange that this only seems to be happening at WDW. I really don't have a problem with these things, but it just seems like an odd thing for Disney to be spending money on. There are SO MANY problems at WDW that need to be addressed, and yet, they spend money to "fix" something that doesn't really need fixing. How about taking that money and putting it into actually up-keeping the attractions to their former standards? And, of course, all this new interactive stuff is just more things that will break - and then be neglected for months on end by TDO management...

They only have six trains, each holding 16 guests. No way you can have a 5min ride time and not have a capacity disaster.
Originally Posted By FerretAfros Well if there are 6 trains, then they will need to be out on the track for a while while the other ones load, before they can return to the station. As an example, DL's Space Mountain has one of the shortest dispatch times around (and a similar size, with 12 guests per train), at 20 seconds. Since this ride will be primarily families that may take longer to load, let's say that the minimum dispatch time will be 25-30 sec (though in reality it will likely be closer to 45). That means that for all 6 trains to run, the ride will need to be nearly 3 minutes long, just to get them all through the station. Add in the extra time for break zones and things like that, and the ride should easily be over 3 minutes, which is about the same as Big Thunder. I'm not sure how they'll be able to fit it all in that space (which is no bigger than the Mermaid building's footprint), or if they will even be able to run all 6 trains at once, but it looks like there may be a little more time spent on the attraction that initially thought.

SO we are already being honest about the new interactive queues failing to work and being neglected. Gosh how dependable are your own electronics. Ever been frustrated with technology? How happy are we going to be because the attraction is down due to technical difficulties along with all the other maintenance issues.I have never seen anybody utilize SM interactive queues! Now if they wanted to insert slot machines along the q-lines...everybody would be happy.

I completely agree that there are better locations for the Meet and Greet, rather than ripping out the infrastructure of a classic FL dark ride (which could tell another story, if they didn't want Snow White). >>How's that weird? Which is able to conjure up this feeling even more with the "Welcome Home Brer Rabbit" sign intact, so I was glad to see it returned a few years ago after a one year absence! Sometimes, "little things" can make a big difference! The planetarium scene in SSE is also an iconic WDW "goosebump moment". I have to say this worked even better for me with the Irons narration, when the reveal of the Earth was synched perfectly with the line "Spaceship Earth". I also wanted to mention several pages ago that I agree with your take on Imagination. The first version was my favorite and I would be BLOWN AWAY if it was ever restored. However, I consider the current version a MAJOR improvement over the second, and I too am very thankful for the return of Figment and his wonderful "One Little Spark" song, which bring a much needed dose of whimsy and charm back to the pavilion.

Certainly looks like an improvement, but I'm still going to take my chances with FP next time I ride it. Dunno if I want a magical headache from the noisemakers that were added to the queue. And on a related note, are the Tigger bounce pads still there? As soon as I saw a video clip of those things, I was predicting they would be replaced.
