Yes, I fully realize that it is not working. No, I don't really care. And although I look every time, I've yet to see the infamous "bird on a stick".

You know things are bad at the WDW when folks on the West Coast start complaining about WDW features increasingly being neglected, underfunded as well as abandonded like Pleasure Island.

However, Disney management allocated ( and has now spent ) over a billion dollars over the past couple of years on Next Gen, which has directly impacted WDW, with very little impact elsewhere within the Disney Company. Meanwhile, some WDW resort restaurants have permantly closed, others run on permanently reduced hours, WDW employees have layed off, concessions have been sold off to outside vendors. The WDW parks have lanquished for years. And apparently, that hasn't been relevant. Until now, when the Disney fan demigod are telling us it is now relevant. Also, I would never tell someone not to go to WDW, or what they should do with their money. I'm not asking for a ban of WDW parks. I don't think I or others should be writing hate mail to WDW management. I just want to see things improve in the parks and elsewhere on the WDW property.

It seems to get heavy use at closing as everyone knows it is about the last one you will run into. It is almost ALWAYS short on paper products and clogged with litter at closing time. The time that really told me Disney had fallen off the cliff was when the Mens room stunk like an outhouse and there were poop-filled undies in one of the stalls.

Not saying it's right, and something like the CoP which runs what half the year could easily be fixed. Unless it's their way of saying it's time to let it go.

Why is it that some attractions at WDW are pristine and ubber well kept, and others are deteriorating?

The question is how long can it go until it becomes noticeable by everyone? That's why DCA got the big bucks. Virtually everyone could see that there wasn't much "there" there.

I have stayed at many hotels and Im lucky I have the advantage of staying at Marriott at a 3rd of what there rooms are . JW Marriott last time I stayed at the one near Sea World for 4 night cost me around $60.00 a night for a $300.00 dollar room. I have always wanted to stay at The Contemporary Resort. Looked at prices for a Garden Room $500.00 a night. I would pay that and could afford it. But that is crazy for that price. I rather take the money for that a spend it for other things I might buy at WDW . But it should not take 2 months of rent to stay 4 days there. When I was single and made good money I would have but not now.

I think for the casual visitor who frequents the place regularly these things may not deter them from going, but for me - a person who lives within a one hour flight from DLR - I have to think twice about spending time and thousands of dollars to go to WDW when I could take that same money and visit other places I enjoy like Italy, France, or Spain.

If I happened to be walking down that particular aisle in that particular theater or had my eyes turned that particular way at that particular point in time during Maelstrom. But what are the chances of that?
