I love the claymation style they're so known for. Also, I did find that there were more crude jokes in it than usual Aardman fare...I guess we'll have to see. To me it looks like a Dreamworks feature that just happens to have that Aardman look to it, and a British cast.

They by no means have autonomy (and never really did). Even WereRabbit was given notes from Dreamworks for tweaks. They're not merely a distributor. The relationship is more involved than that.

I think Dreamworks knew that if it were screwed up too much, or Americanized, that it would not be Wallace & Gromit anymore. With Flushed Away, they can have more control because these characters are new...much like Chicken Run (insert Mel Gibson here).
