I can sort of understand the idea of keeping up with tradition by attending on special occasions, but for me just to set foot in a Catholic church under the circumstances makes me cringe. And do NOT get me wrong, I condemn the Catholic Church for their wrongdoing no more or less than I do the Muslim groups... I'm anti-Religious for a reason...and the reason is their horrific actions (whether it be actions of terror, covering up systematic rape, actively promoting discrimination...etc...). I've never considered myself anti-God, and even some religions seem pretty cool (Buddism, on it's face, seems pretty innocuous for example), but I despise and repudiate the evils done in the name of religion one and all. Now, I should probably go and get myself excommunicated from the Catholic Church (since I suppose I'm still a "member")...anyone know which sin I should use to piss them off the most upon my departure?
