I agree. I can't figure if it is my 2nd or 3rd favorite resort at WDW.

I like AKL better than WL. My point is that I didn't approach it or walk around it with a feeling of amazement. The decor WAS amazing. The gimmick/animals integration WAS amazing. The staff WAS amazing. The dining WAS amazing. Yet, it's overall execution wasn't anything new. It came at the same time as GCH construction and it shares the layout of WL. I didn't get awed' upon my first time looking at the exterior as I did for GF, Contemporary, WL, Port Orleans, etc. Even Port Orleans is a stretch.

I like a lot of the resorts, I just would hope to see a completely different design to the architecture.

    >> I'd also add Coronado Springs to the mix as it is a lovely moderate facility.<<

It is. My point again though is that it is a redress of all of the other moderates. What I was trying to get at with my Port Orleans comment.

I'm not critiquing the resorts themselves, I am pointing out my desire for a fresh design for a value, moderate or deluxe resort. Like I said, WL was the first one that brought something fresh to WDW's table.

    >>Even as a DVC member myself, I hope that they don't take over the entire property as seems to be the case right now. We don't always stay at a DVC resort and like to visit new hotels and I'm sure there are plenty of others who agree.<<

I'm right there with you Lee. I think we share the same attitude. Personally, I like staying at BCV. I just like 3 of the resorts more. I don't want to pigeon hole myself with DVC alone.

As for the build-out of them, well, I'm too tired to even start.
