And I wasn't responding to your originally post anyway the response was to an earlier post. Your the one that decided to respond to me and post the other hotel info.

You might want to reread the posts and the order that they happened, SuzieQ. I didn't put the other hotel out (outside of the scope of the topic), you did and I responded with new info on that.

It sounds like it bothered you that I went to the website of the hotel that you posted about to see what you were talking about-so? I found different info-so?

We don't have an AP now but would buy one if they come out with the really good AP rates. Right now we have AAA rates ( 10% off) which is the same as the basic AP rates, I think.

It's a little early for August, but I say call as much as you feel comfortable with. If you don't mind calling every day, go for it :)

Those kind of rates are part of the reason we have been to Disneyland 30 times in the last 5 years.

But the rates have been creeping up higher and higher lately.

I would love to stay more often at the GCH, but when I checked AP rates for my sons birthday in February, the PPH was $139 and the GCH was $279. So Paradise Pier, here we come!!!

But so often it appears that you like attacking SuzieQ :(

BTW I think SuzieQ is in the right here. Also she gave out the name of that other hotel to show the different rates as did I ..and the advice she gave out to you regarding the two of you to be very good.

As quincytoo said, the reason I even posted the other hotel name was to show that comparable hotels charge rates the same at GCH.

My rate information came straight from my bill. The web site said starting at $159 when I reserved, too. But you couldn't get that rate.

Many hotels around DL are the same way. A "starting" or "from" rate is not typically what people end up paying.

Now, can we please move on? And NOT double check? That's what moves discussion over the line to attacking.

jdurk - don't give up hope. However slight the chance may be. They ended up offering AP rates over the 50th Birthday a couple of years ago. The rates were released about 2 weeks prior.

No, the tent cabins do not include sleeping bags. You have to bring your own. It also costs more if you want a heater in the winter. They do, however, rent linens. I was looking at rates this summer, and the price was $131/night for the same tent.

Poster #5 (dlkozy) says in his/her post "I guess that I just don't consider prices over $230 as a "good rate", obviously a response to #3 and obviously his/her opinion as the words "I guess" were there.

But poster #7 Suzie Q answers dlkozy and throws another hotel in the mix that is completely seperate from what the subject matter is.

When dlkozy checks into the website that SuzieQ posted-SuzieQ sounds like she gets her feathers ruffled and writes "But I'm pretty tired of this dumb bickering and checking of information. Especially on things outside of the scope of the topic"

So, my question is *** SuzieQ if you are tired of the "dumb bickering" why are you doing it? And you are the poster who posted something "outside of the scope of the topic-so don't. DLkozy didn't start anything-.

Throw in quincytoo and his/her comment "But so often it appears that you like attacking SuzieQ :( " and once again I don't understand because- Dlkozy didn't but SuzieQ did.

Wasn't this topic about getting a hotel rate at the DL hotel anyways?

**"And NOT double check? That's what moves discussion over the line to attacking." Sorry-I don't take people's word for information, I always check the source-that does not mean it is "attacking"-it means I am careful.

Maybe someone does think $230 is too much, but compared to other hotels, it's actually much cheaper & it's at a theme park! A Disney one no less. I see it as a comment that DL's prices aren't out of whack.

It's like when I hear people comment how expensive food is inside DL. If you compare it to other theme parks, say Six Flags, DL is way cheaper & you have a better choice.

And I see what Dlkozy's point was by posting what you GET with the cost of the room at the other hotel. Yes, they might be close in price but you GET so much more with it. DLR hotels do not come with much extra.

I agree-I was quoting SuzieQ's post "Especially on things outside of the scope of the topic.". She posts info and then doesn't want anyone else to discuss it.
